This place is a little gem. Had a fantastic night's stay here. The food was amazing, the bar very cosy and as a bonus, it was quiz night so had a lot of fun doing that too. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms have everything you need, including tea/coffee making facilities, water and biscuits. And as for... More

After walking from sandyhills to kippford, we had a great lunch in the anchor inn. Gannon steak was amazing and fish was good. Great service and lovely log fire. Would definitely recommend. Bus back to sandyhills after several drinks!!!

Had a lovely weekend with group of friends at this small harbourside hotel. Bedrooms greats, staff lovely, food could be a bit more adventurous. Popular with walkers and dogs, pathway to Rockcliffe with its quirky sculpture was fun.

I really can't praise this place enough. Our room was gorgeous, clean, modern and it had the most amazing views. Checking in was nice and smooth, met by a friendly member of staff and shown to our room within minutes. Our room was really clean and has modern bedding, and curtains, the bathroom was spacious and clean consisting of a... More

We live locally and had friends visiting so went out for a meal with them at the Anchor. I understand it has recently changed management and this is a change for the worse. The service was dreadful, bordering on rude and the food was very poor quality and seriously overpriced. we will not be back which is such a shame... More

We stopped for a night and had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was clean, tastefully decorated and with all the right facilities. We found the staff attentive and helpful. The views were fabulous from our room and the bar was cosy and welcoming. There is a seating area out the front and we had lunch and dinner in the... More

Never, ever again. The staff are so rude. A girl with curly hair took our order and she has to be the most ignorant person I've ever come across. I'm pretty sure they did something to our food as she kept looking over and talking to another girl and laughing. Will never go here again. Food is majorly over priced... More

We were on a day out in the area and, having visited the Anchor many years ago, decided to pop in again for lunch to give it another try. We ordered a sharing platter of fried seafood and a crayfish and smoked salmon salad, both of which came from the specials menu. Staff we dealt with were friendly and service... More
