We reserved a table for Friday evening, as it turned out, no need, as there was only us in the restaurant. It was like private dining. Our waiter was Adam, he was great. Very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for him. The food was good, value for money, the wine was also well priced. It's been a long... More

I'm glad we neglected to read the reviews before booking this hotel or it would've put us off. As it was we read them after booking and therefore were expecting the worst. What we found was a hearty warm welcome, great food and a nicely presented room. The only minus points were a very dated bathroom, an antiquated portable TV... More

We stayed at the Crewe Arms Hotel, we were skeptical about attending due to the reviews, however I have to disagree. The staff who checked us in were 2 ladies who made us very welcome upon our arrival providing us with two free coffees. The rooms were excellent value for the price we paid in a Wowcher deal. Within the... More

We went on Saturday night as we hadn't been for a while and the meals had always been fairly good for us. The main point for most would be that currently they can't serve any alcohol, we can manage with that so we went ahead. We turned up without booking and there was a notice on the door, but nothing... We stayed here on a wowcher on the 17th & 18th Oct. We arrived at 3.30 & the room wasn't ready so we was taken to the bar to wait & given a complimentary drink. Didnt wait long for the room. Although basic the bed was very comfortable & the room was clean. The shower curtain had mould all over...... More

This was booked via wowcher and we had been looking forward to it. On our journey to the hotel my husband got a call asking if we were coming from a very grumpy sounding man we could only assume was the owner who was rude on the phone. When we got there, no one was on reception so we waited... More

Stayed here with a Wowcher, tried to check in at 3.30 & was given some excuse about the cleaner not having been there to do the room that we were supposed to have. We went into the bar to have a drink, then drove further into the village to find a cash point. On returning we were met at reception... More

Had a lovely 2 night stay, room was clean, food was really nice and big portions for the price. The onsite pub is clean cheap and has good entertainment, very friendly staff and good service in all areas. Only negative is the beds are abit hard and uncomfortable and the curtains are thin and let alot of light in but... More

Would NOT recommend to anyone. I booked and paid for a room and meal through wowcher 3 months in advance but I was sent a message to my house phone 2 hours before we were due to check in to say they had double booked and they were cancelling us. As we were already there we had no option but... More
