Good old fashioned friendly hotel with lovely staff, friendly owners and very well organised!! Dinner and breakfast was delicious and we were lucky enough to have a very spacious suite with a beautiful bathroom..... you have to stay at least 3 nights!!

Morgan's Bay Hotel is a very special family run hotel (third generation) that is well worth a visit. The owner's make you feel at home right down to the personal messages to guests in the menu each day. The sea facing bedrooms are lovely and each has its own access to the balcony where you look right out to sea... More

well..my wife and I have only been 20 times in comparison to my in laws' 50 visits to Morgan's Bay. And still we travel from Australia to our family reunion there for the first week of every New Year and will continue to do so. Admittedly its not always that we stay in the hotel but every visit requires at... More

A away-from-it-all ocean-lapping hotel on the Wild Coast! This is a family-hotel run by the third generation of the same family, so they know how to make sure you enjoy your stay! Meal times are enlivened by a twice-daily newsletter, incorporated with the menu, which refers to guests - by name - who are arriving or departing that day -... More

We spent this past week end at Morgan Bay Hotel. We truly had an amazing time even though it rained for most of our time there. Erica at reception was such a pleasure to deal with. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The food was exceptional (especially the seafood platter on Friday night) as was the service by the... More

It is easy to understand why this hotel is so popular. It is a family run business and more than a little old-fashioned, which was okay by us. The food was rather uninspiring but the personalised welcome on the Valentine dinner menu was a charming touch. Our overnight visit was spoilt however by the way the management dealt with the... Great beachfront location. Very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food. Very safe. Could easily have stayed longer, and would want to go back to this hotel if in the area again.

My girlfriend and I flew down on Friday for a 2 night get away. Been hankering after this for some time. It was such a well worth it trip as we got back having really relaxed. The hotel has added a new dimension with the new building adjacent to the original. There are some more rooms and the new deck/bar/eatery... More

We spent one night at the Morgan Bay Hotel, our seventh stop on a three-week South African tour. We arrived an hour after sunset, following an extremely long and tiring drive from Oribi Gorge across the Transkei. We were expected, even though their booking system had apparently died some time earlier. I was fortunately able to provide a copy invoice.... More
