We spent 3 nights here and were delighted with our choice. Friendly welcome. Lovely large room (Jill) with open view over fields. Lots of wildlife to spot from our window seat - binoculars and bird book thoughtfully provided. Great breakfast cooked to order - no lukewarm buffet here. Room very comfortable and well equipped. Real milk provided in a small... More

David and Christine are the perfect hosts, kind, generous and thoughtful without being invasive. They have created a beautiful, elegant, relaxing place to stay, we stayed in Holly's room that has a large comfortable bed and great views. The breakfasts are legendary, I have never stayed anywhere where there was so much well cooked food and they coped with my... More

We enjoyed our stay enormously, Christine and David have the knack of getting involved with their guests enough to be excellent hosts and to make you welcome, but not so much it's overwhelming. They were kind and thoughtful which just added to satisfaction of the comfortable room and excellent breakfasts. The location is also lovely, beautiful, quiet but accessible.

We wrote a review for the Old Rectory a couple of years back and have been back at least once a year ever since. So, just to update on last time - the place is still truly wonderful and definitely on our list of annual weekends away. David and Christine remain the marvellously warm and welcoming hosts and Linda still... More

I was looking for a romantic getaway and this place turned out to be the perfect spot. Our room was spacious and comfortable with ensuite shower and a view over the side garden of the rectory - good for spotting the birds on the bird table, helped by the thoughtful provision of a bird ID book and a pair of... The rooms were clean and full of character and the hospitality firts class. Breakfast next morning was just amazing, fresh and cook ed to perfection with a... More

Greeted by Christine with the kettle on and some divine cake... Such a beautiful old house. Oozing with character. However an odd very apt mod con. They think of absolutely everything here! Even a torch in each room incase of a power cut or to guide back from the village after dark. Great staff. Great place.

This was a great B & B with very spacious rooms and everything we could possibly need. There was a very extensive menu for breakfast - served at one large table with the other guests. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and keen to know how we had spent our time in the area.
