Stayed here approx 4 times now camping with hook up. The facilities are very good and the toilets and shower block are really clean. You can get milk, orange and eggs from the on site house. Great base for cycling into Craster or Beadnell. There is a lovely pub about 2 mins walk from the site that does good food.... More

We stayed here for two nights in a tent and enjoyed our stay. Price was reasonable and facilities were clean. We have stayed at numerous campsites and this one was perfectly adequate. The camping field was fairly busy and the site has limited views, however it is well located on the Northumberland Coast and also within the village, within easy... More

Stayed one night in our camper van. Great location, 15 min walk to Craster. Nice site, very tidy and quiet. Ate at the Cottage Inn which is in the same village which was good and very handy. Excellent base for coastal Northumberland.

I visited with my friend and dog in a motor home. I found the owner pleasant and very accommodating (with a dry sense of humour) providing us with bus time tables and advise. A very pleasant few days and at a reasonable price. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely campsite in a beautiful area, we pitched in a tent and the facilities were immaculate, lovely owners. Fab cycle routes and a lovely little pub just down the road. the coastal cycle route is beautiful with most of it off road, would def recommend this camp site.

Owners not too welcoming and friendly. Don't seem keen on kids but we managed to have fun on a family get together. Clean, dated facilities. Our field was pretty far from the toilet block. Sheltered wee site in great location but no play area at all. Would return.

Proctors stead is an inland camp site only a few minutes drive from Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle. We found the camp site appealing due to it's quiet location. The camp site facilities are basic yet cleaned numerously throughout the day. The owner seemed a likeable character and was pleasant and helpful. The fields were sheltered by hedges and the grounds... More

Visited for three nights as part of a group booking. Even though we booked months in advance, our party was split in different fields! On arrival the owners were rude and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Site was clean and well maintained but there were no bins anywhere except at the front of the site. Showers and... More

Just returned from two and a half weeks staying at this site - which we found by chance on the internet. What a great place! Really friendly, well sited and everything you need for a good camping experience. We even had the weather! The toilet block is cleaned at least twice if not three times each day, showers beautifully clean... More
