Phoned up at last minute for a table for 2 on bank holiday Monday, and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely two course meal, chosen from a good varied menu, and a selection of specials on the blackboard. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

The Spyway Inn is one of those little treasures that you don't come across often. Hidden down a country lane in a tiny hamlet is the most lovely restaurant and accommodation to be found. The Inn is a family run business and that energy shines through! No chain with indifferent manager here! The Inn has retained the charm of the... More

The immediate impression of the welcoming and hard working owners and staff who were constantly attentive from the moment we walked in. The welcome was matched by the food - a good choice of well cooked, well presented and reasonably priced food in the evening surpassed only by the excellent breakfast. Very good beers and ciders. Our bedroom had views... More

What a find! Stayed at this fantastic location for two nights. The staff where very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom, bathroom and lounge were clean, and comfortable with fantastic views over the countryside. The food (breakfast and dinner) were excellent, with a great variety to choose from. The location is ideal to visit Burton Bradstock beach, which... More

Just returned from an excellent week at The Spyway Inn where we (three) had good food with a wide menu choice which was matched by great hospitality and accommodation to match. We were not tempted to eat out as the Spyway food was so good! The Spyway Inn is set in a small village with its own beautiful garden with... More

We're just back from the Spyway inn after a 3 night break. I spotted this lovely inn on Google maps as we wanted a base to explore Dorset. It is tucked away in a tiny village just off the A35 between Dorchester and Bridport (3 miles away). Apart from the handy location, we found everything about this inn to be... More

Having visited the Spyway a few times, we decided to ask if they could cater a small lunch party to celebrate our wedding. The food was delicious, as always, and the service was excellent. We had to make some last minute alterations to our menu and numbers and Tim and his staff where only to happy to help to meet... More

Visited here with some family whom are fairly local to the area. Advertises itself as a "dog friendly" pub however dogs are not allowed inside! Fair enough, I can understand that but make it clear on your website (the dog slept in the car while we ate). We were originally told that all the tables were reserved then the batman... More

We visited with my parents today for Sunday lunch , a warm friendly welcome awaited us , we all chose the roast lamb from the menu , the meal was excellent , plenty of meat and a wide variety of different veg enough on the plate not to overwhelm even the biggest appetites, the sweet menu was first class with...
