We stayed for four nights at the Bay Hotel, three generations of our family. We were struck by the cleanliness and friendliness of the team and the great location. We visited St. Andrews, Crail, anstruther and dunferline and enjoyed our meals in Horizon's restaurant. The disabled room was very well appointed, I enjoyed the pool and my chats with the... More

Just returned from a one night (Saturday) stay. We booked a family executive room for us and our two daughters (4 and 1). The room was great with two floors. The girls loved having their own floor. Nice spacious rooms with a balcony that had a great view of the Forth and Edinburgh. Good food and reasonably priced bar. Good... More

Just came home from a night at this hotel, room was very nice, wonderful view. Reception staff and morning waitress was great, but we booked a table for dinner for family and friends and was very disappointed with the two waitresses that were working that evening, if the restaurant had been busy I would have understood but they were just... Make sure you book a south facing room and from the balcony or mezzanine floor you will be rewarded with one of the finest views of any hotel in Europe. To the right are the Forth Bridges,to the left one of the islands of the Forth and straight ahead across the river the city of Edinburgh.Even with the weakest of... More

The hotel sits high above the beach to the west of Kinghorn with unbroken views across the River Forth to Edinburgh and beyond. Our family room was split level with the double bed upstairs and a put-u-up bed in the sitting room. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The facilities for children were excellent with a pool, children's soft... More

Stayed here before with my mother and had a lovely time. This trip was a 80th birthday for my father-in-law. We all had a nice time but unfortunately my mother and father-in-law were in a room near the function suite and were kept awake on the first night with a Prom. They complained and I must say this hotel has... More

Stayed at the Bay a number of times on my own and with family. Excellent location, good facilities and fabric around the hotel and in the rooms. Staff are really helpful and friendly. On my recent visit, March 2015, special mention for help and professionalism of Melissa on reception and Susie, everywhere. Room safe a big plus, not usual in... More

Rooms and food were good but staff let the place down to the point I would never return. Clearly a lack of communication between staff who were not very well trained. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing and very rude. Manners cost nothing! From booking a room to my departure everything seemed to be an issue. Simple requests... More
