Right, lets get some things clear. This is not a small tropical island where you can walk around alone on a white beach. Mabul resort have around 100m of beach, the rest is occupied by the 2000 local fishermen or workers from the different hotels on the island. In addition to sipadan mabul resort (smart) they also own the water... More

This is my first review ever after years of diving. I having been traveling all over the world for many years going to places I feel are "scuba worthy". I am from Florida and mostly dive in the Caribbean. I decided to take a "bucket list" vacation and travel to the other side of the world...Malaysia and the Maldives Islands.... More

This place it well worth your money and more to. We simply loved it. We stayed here for 5 days and were sad to leave because all the staff has treated us so kindly and the facilities were so nice. We stayed in a stand alone chalet with a lovely sea-view. The chalet was nice with lots of space, clean... More

me and my family had the most amazing experience here. We travelled around borneo for 3 weeks and ended the trip here thankfully. The people are amazing and the location is amazing. (Also the diving of course) this place is good for anyone. we have 3 dives a day and after each dive food, tea and coffee were always there... More

If you want to dive at Sipadan this is one of the best options in my view. You stay at Mabul island which means that you have some room to maneuver around when not diving. But this is indeed a dive resort for most part and I would not bother going to Mabul if I was not diving. That said... More

way overpriced for what they offer now. food is bad, the place has become a weird mixture of hardcore divers and screaming Chinese tourists. the beaches and sea around is heavily polluted with all kinds of debris, staff is not as friendly as in the philippines. all this I am comparing to similar and way cheaper places in the Philippines.... Sipadan Mabul Resort (SMART) provided good transfer services with spacious vans and comfortable boats. Like any other destination dive resorts, we need not worry about our luggages and they were promptly delivered to door step. Dive guide stayed with us throughout the trip (16 dives in total) and did fantastic job in hunting. Dives: I was surprise that what we... More

First thing first, we were really disappointed with the boat transfer. We were grouped with other nationalities but it was made clear that Malaysians to be travelled separately from Eurasians in a much dilapidated boats. That is racial discrimination and worst, against your own people when you are paying just as much as they are paying. At the resort, the... More

Amazing diving. Very friendly staff. Nice food. Everything is taken care of for you. The dive masters and all boat crew were fantastic. It was great to know that we could go to the house reef for a swim, snorkel or dive whenever we felt like it. Three boat dives per day was great and every dive site was stunning.
