A friend and I booked a two night safari at Kigio Wildlife Camp. The prices were reasonable so we were very surprised to be the only two guests there. This meant that staff to guest ratios were very generous. The food was exceptional; three course meals every meal time, (we had to ask for tiny portions or miss out courses... More

Many thanks to Jorge Ole Josh and all the staff at this peaceful, eco-friendly lodge in beautiful Kenya for the great accomodations and warm hospitality in my recent stay there. I felt privileged to go on nature walks with such experienced guides. It was very unique to all other accomodations and I loved every minute of my time there. The... More

This tranquil location was a perfect place to spend two nights during a recent Kenyan Safari. The people were tremendous, the food was spectacular and the cabins/huts very comfortable. The opportunity to walk on the savannah with an experienced and interested guide topped off this all too brief stop along our route. It is a great place to visit and... More

We stayed for one night at this camp and it truly was a wonderful experience. The camp is Eco-Friendly and the Conservancy was truly doing their best to be completely sustainable. The room was a complete "Hut" and was approximately four times larger then a typical hotel room. The room was definitely rustic but that added the correct flavor to... More

Eco-friendly lodge with very friendly staff. Rooms are huge & clean. The dining area is very cozy. You get this feeling that you're camping but not in a tent. You can hear nature all around you. It's quite an experience!

The manager David was eeeeextremely helpful !! I love the view and huge rooms. You do have to walk to your room at night with a flashlight and a guide since it is very dark. We faced the lake which was very nice.Food was delicious. We had lambchops for dinner..Wonderful service and a great stay.

The Kigio Wildlife Camp was a scheduled overnight stop during a 12 day safari tour. We arrived late in the afternoon to find a delightful camp! Had we known, we would have scheduled more time at this lodge. It would have been great to do 2 nights here allowing us time to explore the surrounding area and do a bush... More

The place to go for bird watching. The local naturalist is a bundle of charm and really knows his birds - and the plants around the lodge. We were the only guests in camp at the time, so we got the royal treatment: all the game walks we could overcome, first class service and excellent food served in front of... More

The thatched roofed, adobe huts are cool and different. No phone service, but the wifi works. Eat outdoors looking at a lush green meadow and river with hippos in it. The staff were fabulous. You get to order one of 2 entrees each meal instead of other hotels buffet. Food was excellant. Vervet monkies are around the surronding trees. Community... More

We stayed one night at Kigio as part of a safari package. Just a little different from our other lodges at Maasai Mara and Amboseli. Stayed in Turaco cottage and loved the huge room, balcony overlooking the river, hot water bottle in the bed, rustic shower/toilet/washing area (flip-flops and bath robes provided!), canvas back wall with window coverings that rolled...
