As title suggest it is difficult to book an other hotel via agent. Check in was fast. Staff is friendly but sometimes nowhere to find. Rooms are ok but do not expect 4x and not perfect clean. Food. sugest to eat outside. Breakfast is typical indonesian and coffee is not to drink if you love a good coffee. Barfood or... More

The hotel building and the public areas are very nice with a beautiful colonial interior. The lobby and dining room have been renovated, they are very charming and well maintained. However the rooms do not have the same standard as the public areas. Although they are clean, they are outdated and a little basic. The same is true regarding our... More

I stayed there with my wife for a couple of days. A very interesting design. We like the colonial-traditional concept of the hotel interior. In general a very nice hotel. They also provide a good entertainment facilities such as the swimming pool, bar, and even live traditional music. On the first day, our air conditioner was broken. And within a... More

Although obviously old, this property looked charming and attractive from the outside. Big and attractive foyer and pleasant staff, but our room was very dated and somewhat claustrophobic. Only one small window high up in the end wall covered with wooden shutters which made the place quite gloomy. It was clean enough, but the only power point available was in... More

I always fond of old buildings and they said that the restaurant part was the original one since 1800s. Its interiors and furnitures theme was old fashioned and they also provide traditional gamelan live performance in the lobby. Wonosobo is a cool place and a non air conditioner rooms is acceptable and its the closest place to Dieng mountain to... More

This hotel was booked by our travelagent. The hotel itself looks quite nice with a beautiful colonial interior. The rooms however are outdated and the bathroom looks dirty. Both could us a facelift ! We were here in January and there were not much guests (in the dry season, they say, it's fully booked) and that could be the reason... More

Nice hotel, the building and the colonial heritage are well maintained. The service is good. Food is somewhat disappointing and the breakfast buffer might need some more thought. If the hotel builds further on the heritage aspect it has a great future.

A bar, adjoining the nice lobby, has welcome (expensive!) cold beer. Staff have very limited English. Wifi is limited to lobby and very slow, but a PC is available in the business center at low cost. Lobby has been renovated but the rooms are very old and basic. Caters to large busloads. Large restaurant with average breakfast. Entertainment by traditional... More

The Kresna is a colonial-style hotel dating back from the time when travelling was something really special. Its lobby and restaurant area are stunning and the staff, although perhaps less inclined to smile than elsewhere in Java, were professional at all times. The restaurant offers good food although, predictabily, it is relatively expensive by Indonesian standards. But you pay for... More

The only reason to stay in Wonosobo is Dieng Plateau, because it's the closest city that has hotels, not homestays. But perhaps a homestay closer to Dieng could be even better than this so-called 4* hotel. This property (formerly Grand Hotel Dieng in the late 70's) once was a nice colonial dutch building and could be still great if managed... More
