The Hambro Arms is a wonderful pub with very friendly, helpful staff, great food and very comfortable accommodation. The village of Milton Abbas is facinating and the Heritage Walk around it, incorporating Milton Abbas Abbey, is well worth it.

I stayed here on my own, and loved my time here. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the staff were all so lovely. I did not have a reservation, but was able to get a room in winter. The food was great. I would highly recommend staying here!

Old pub in "chocolate box" village complete with squeaky floorboards in a generous sizes bedroom with large bathroom with modern facilities. Comfortable large bed . Nice locals bar with two real ales and a comfortable restaurant with well cooked and varied food offer although a little pricey. Manager Mark was enthusiastic and informative . All in all a very comfortable... More

Set in a beautiful village, warm welcome, good beer excellent food. My wife and I stayed in the room named 'Capability' clean, warm and a good view of the thatched village. The service and care shown was brilliant.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Hambro Arms. The welcome was lovely, we were showed to our room and the facilities and straight away felt very welcome. The room was a good size for us and our daughter (6) and the en suite was huge. We ate in the bar/restaurant and as other reviewers have said, it... More

This is a wonderful pub in a wonderful location. Milton Abbas is stunning. The food here is delicious and refined. The Chef is clearly highly experienced. The Pork dish that I had as a main course was one of the best dishes ever. The staff are all charming. The rooms look very comfortable also. I did not stay.

My wife and I and a friend were attending a wedding at Milton Abbey some five minutes by car from the Hotel. On arriving from Jersey by car ferry the previous night we were given a warm welcome by Mark Brannigan who continued to look after us for our two night stay. The rooms were of a high standard and... We called here for a cool drink (or two!) on a hot day. A very atmospheric, old English pub, with real ales, good service and set in a lovely typical English location. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Dorset.

We stayed for two nights in this lovely little village pub. Chocolate box villages with all the thatched cottages up the main street. The pub was small but had great food. Very high quality local produce. We stayed on the Chambers room which I think was the smaller room in the place. Adequate but a larger one would have been... More
