Even though the weather was typically English......grey and wet.....the Hambro Arms is set in the lovely 'chocolate-box' village of Milton Abbas in Dorset. A warm friendly pub with a very cosy feel as soon as you walked in. The menu, despite being small, was varied and interesting. All our meals were lovely. The service was excellent as was our welcome. Can't wait... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with four friends. The hotel is fab, luxury rooms, staff were so friendly - even lending me a pair of boots cos I'd forgotten to bring sensible footwear for a walk around the village and abbey! Apparently not the regular landlord, but the part-owner and his wife, and the unfailingly cheerful Mark went out of... More

Great location in an historic village. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Excellent food and drink especially the New Year's eve meal. Plenty of attractions to visit including the Tank Museum, Poole and Sandbanks.

This is definitely a gastro-pub with a five-star chef. The menu (specials) change daily. Lots of interesting wines and beers, too. It is possible to stay overnight as well, but we didn't (we had booked elsewhere) I cannot fault the food in any way. I've been there quite a few times and it's always very, very good. Milton Abbas itself... More

A pleasant atmosphere and though we had to stand, for just 30 seats in the front bar were all occupied. Value? Not too sure.. £10.90 for a pint (just two pumps on and yes, here we go again, Doombar) and one large glass of wine. Apparently it was packed on Xmas Day at £64 per head but if they are... More

We had a lovely stay at this B&B the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and the breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice. The bedroom was furnished to a high standard and the beds were so comfortable I could have slept for days. The bathroom had a double shower and all the toiletries were provided... More

I chose this place on location first, as I was looking into my family history, but the Hambro Arms is a real find. Owned by the village, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The food and drink were some of the best I've had in a while. The only thing some... More

Stayed overnight for a wedding. It's such a lovely place! Staff were really friendly and even drove us to the wedding venue to pick up our car the next morning! Lots of breakfast options and tasted great! Thank you. It was a shame we were only for night really. We'll be back :-)
