The current owners aim to please. Its older needs to be updated. Theres kitchenette available. Fridges and microwaves in every room. It's within walking distance of downton. The restaurant next door is open at 5:00 am.

I really enjoy small old worn independent hotel/motels but this is probably the first time I've been scared to take my shoes off the carpet is so grimy, the dead bugs and burnt out bulb in the light fixture lend a certain ambiance I can do without. Broken baseboard heaters, crusted sink with a dead spider I really can't think... More

Stayed for two weeks with the crew and had 3 rooms. Would have gave 5 stars but my soya sauce went missing the first week and showed up mysteriously the following week. Also the two large oven burners did not work. Loved the snowy tv as it matched the weather and appreciated the ( free of charge) electric heater as... More

The people are the key, cheerful and friendly. This is an average motel, clean and warm after turning up the thermostat. The Alaskan is located on the service road near highway 43 and easy to get to. The operators went out of their way to make coffee available in the morning.

A dity worn out motel. I don't understand how it is allowed to operate. The staff are young Asians and seem like robotic unresponsive zombies. Soap bars from the previous victims were still crusted in the tub. Dirty linen, garbage under beds etc,etc... I would sooner sleep in a tree or under my vehicle . Avoid this filthy twighlight zone.

Fox Creek is very busy right now and I called every motel and hotel in town. The fact there was no waiting list here should have been my first clue. I asked for but didn't really expect a non-smoking room. I couldn't get into the first room they gave me, there was something jammed in the lock so she gave... More

I can accept an old motel making money in the oil patch as long as the owners try... And keep it sanitary. I think these owners gave up a long time ago but because of the oil and gas are still raking it in.
