We visited the restaurant for lunch before our visit to the Rila Monastery. it is located by a river, nice scenic environment with open garden. Tried its trout and stuffed bell pepper, and both were equally good. Many tours stopped over there for lunch.

We stopped at the restaurant here as part of our tour on the way to visit the Rila Monastery (The Monastery is about 10 minutes further up the road). We did not even notice that the property also had rooms to rent. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the Autumn temperatures and fresh air. We ordered a beer, a wine, a... More

Great place to eat over looking a small stream. Had a wonderful bowl of vegetable soup with an entree of braised pork served like an open face sandwich with gravy, butter boiled potatoes and rice. It has a very pleasant atmosphere which is complimented with a meal of comfort food, particularly if you where raised in the mid-west of the... More

We were there only for lunch at their restaurant. It was very busy with many large tour groups so the service was slow but the atmosphere was great so we did not mind. We sat out on their lovely patio with a great view of the river and the flowers. We ordered the fresh caught trout- apparently caught on their... More

We were part of a small tour group (11 total) en route to the Rita Monastery. Our guide had us stop at this resort's restaurant first so each person could look at the menu and place an order for lunch. Meals were to be ready at an agreed-upon time after we saw the monastery. This arrangement worked beautifully. As soon... More

We only stopped for lunch here. Prices were reasonable and the trout was decent. Other Bulgarian dishes like the shopska salad and tripe soup were decent also. There's a constant flow of packaged tourist but service was efficient.

The hotel is nice right by the river. We were in a room overlooking the river. Clean air pleasant murmur of the river. There is a meadow where kids can play. In the summer it will be cool and the winter will be snow. Close to the monastery. You can go on foot to the monastery. There are enough big... More

We stayed here for one night prior to visiting the Monastery which is just a few minutes drive up the road. Our stay was in September when it was relatively quiet and there were no English speaking staff on duty. Dinner was unremarkable and inexpensive. The room price was good too but expect to be asked for cash as we... More
