Small boutique hotel situated in the area of Saint-Gilles, just off the Chaussee de Charleroi. Each room has a theme and we were in room 13 called Cristalle. The room was quiet as it was overlooking the back of the hotel. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent, good water pressure. The people working at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, Claudia who went out of her way to help us on an issue we had. Claudia is a Credit to the hotel.

This hotel is very pleasant, and an easy walk away from the main transport hubs. The hotel staff was very helpful and did their best, especially when our room key stopped working late at night and no staff was present, and when we had to leave the hotel during a general transport strike. Thank you!

On good tram routes to stations and centre. Helpful staff and near some excellent cafes and restaurants. I return regularly. However is now in need of a lick of paint and new carpets. The breakfast room was ill equipped with no teaspoons, saucers for cups, basic coffee. Rather overpricef as it is rather scruffy.

I was really happy with my lovely room at The Neufchâtel. The price was a bargain for such a nice boutique hotel. The front desk staff were a young friendly bunch:) They were always available for my questions, speak good English and allowed me to check in early (as my room had been ready). The location is nice as it is not far from the Bruxelles Midi station (take the tram 81) ans is around the corner from the gorgeous neighbourhood Châtelain. The bed was so comfortable and is perfect for a nap in the afternoon. Loved the pillows and duvet. I also appreciate the coffee and tea facilities in the room, although the maid had not replenished the stock of teabags/Nescafé. Unfortunately the walls can be quite thin and if there is a little party in the room next door, you will hear it. Nevertheless I loved it there and will be back!

We stayed here recently after deciding on a last minute trip to Brussels so our accommodation options were limited. My husband researched the area of St Gilles and determined it to be one of the trendier districts. I would disagree completely after our visit and I won’t be trusting him with these kind of decisions again. We walked to the hotel from the Zudi train station. It was a horrible walk with suitcases mainly uphill on cobbled streets with very little around to take interest in. Porto Hal metro was around 8 mins away so it wasn’t a bad walk downhill. At night we would rent scooters to take us home. When we arrived at the hotel we had a quick and friendly check in. We were told our room was on a specific floor and the lift was broken. When we carried our own luggage to the room we must have walked up 8 flights of narrow uneven stairs. The room wasn’t accessible as the cleaners were there and our first impression of the stairways was that it was run down and in need of repair. There were bleach stains all over the carpet, footprint bleach stains and spillage like stains. So this was clearly all down to carelessness. Our room appeared to be spotless. Crisp linen. Two single beds pushed together to form a double. I personally don’t mind this but my husband hates it. We had some very comfortable sleeps. Once again the carpet was in need of replacement. The bathroom was modern, clean apart from the toilet that had the previous guests last deposit still floating about. The shower was amazing. They don’t supply a lot of toiletries. There’s a dispenser with shampoo, two small bars of soap and one glass. We figured that we had probably rushed the cleaners out of the room quickly by landing outside. But the following day we didn’t get an extra glass. The hairdryer was superb. The room was dark with the curtains open. But we had a comfortable stay as I said apart from being woken to the maintenance men fixing the lift beside our room early in the morning. Also these rooms are not soundproof like they specify. We didn’t have breakfast. €15 each is extortionate to be fair. We asked for recommendations for somewhere to eat the first night. We were told to head out and walk and we would find something. I don’t think we ate for two hours after that because the directions were so bad and there was nothing great nearby. I wouldn’t stay here again purely because I feel it’s a bit out of the way. The hotel needs some updating. I usually like to stay in quieter neighbourhoods if the hotel gets amazing reviews but this one didn’t really do it for me.

This is a great little hotel in a great area of Brussels. The room had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, fast wifi, great water preassure in the shower, a fan, and a desk. The service was great all way through: from the fast checkin to the just as quick checkout as well as helpful advices in between (on eg where to buy fruit, where to go for great drinks, etc) + printing service. The location is excellent too: a little bit off the beaten track, but super close to the best areas of Brussels and in a zone where you will feel safe walking home late at night. It is also near local transport and by walking distance to some of the more touristy areas. All in all: this is a great hotel and I will for sure come back here next time I am in Brussels.

Staff were great, very friendly and good service. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. Very good location too, quiet: convenient for Gare du Midi, and for my work. Near shops and Avenue Louise. Room was okay, clean enough. Good value at the price I paid, but with demand-based pricing, the high room rate meant I couldn't justify returning the following week (there's a big congress in town, I just hate it when the room rate more than doubles). The room could have done with a little updating. Sometimes it's the little touches that can make a real difference. The layout meant no beside table, which is inconvenient. No night-light or 'glow' light meant you had to put the full and very bright bathroom light on if you needed to go in the night. Rug curling under the bed. TV channels and volume seemed a bit random. And the outside of the room window was very dirty (and it had no black-out curtains). Room wasn't especially warm overnight. Again, with demand-based pricing, the room rate rockets upwards the following week, more than doubling, meaning I couldn't return there for even 1 night.

great location, nice structure, each room is sort of personalized and most of all are of an adequate size, offer a large bed and a nice bathroom. my room had the access to a small garden on the back, so was very quiet. super nice staff. I checked-in late, yet I was welcome with a smile and very politely (thank you Marta), the person at the reception in the morning was also super-polite and helpful. breakfast is OK, with a good selection, and scrambled eggs were great, absolutely GREAT

Even though this hotel is not located in the heart of Old Town, it still was a very nice place to stay. They provided a very nice hot breakfast that held us for most of the day. The room was very comfortable and quiet. However, the best thing about this hotel is the staff, in particular the people at the front desk. They went out of their way to tell us what attractions we should seek out and how to get there. They couldn't have been better. They made us feel very welcome.
