I had a very nice stay here. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The room was large and charming. The location is great, with a definite local feel but not too far from the museums and historic areas and shopping and transportation. The name is representative: This is more of chambres d'hôtes than a hotel….but if you don't need a... More

If you like space and atmosphere, this is a place for you. This B&B provides the guest with a big room and a big bed, and a big bathroom. In my first visit to Belgium, I stayed at the Ibis in Ghent. It was one of the smallest rooms I had ever seen. This B&B is the opposite. This is... More

I echo all the previous glowing reviews of Chambres en Ville. The rooms are lovely and overflowing with charm. I was traveling solo and my already spacious twin room had a HUGE bathroom with a claw foot tub AND shower. Just outside the hotel is a quaint little square with a half dozen restaurants/bars that make it easy to immediately... More

We booked our room at Chambres en Ville months before our November 2013 stay and requested a specific room, La Gustavienne, based on the photos on the website. We were not disappointed. We loved the rustic Swedish country style of the room and had a wonderful, restful stay while there. Our hosts were friendly, helpful to us (first time visitors... More

Warm welcome by Patron. Arty bits, comfortable, hints of bare chic, beautiful exposed 15" floorboards and skirts. Planked rough-cut wash- tinted walls, scrim cotton curtains on hooks, and iron poster converted comfortable beds.Fully tiled wet-room and separate bath/sinks/toilet.No tea making facilities in the room, but Patron kindly allowed use of Kitchen late night for hot drinks prep. View out back of cute walled overgrown... More

I stayed in the Retour d'Afrique room, La Vie d'Artiste room which I wanted was full, but nevermind. The room was nice, bathroom had a bath and shower enclosure as well, I liked the decorations in the room very much, everything was like on pictures on the website. I missed TV a bit - in every hotel or B&B I... More

Its my first time to stay at Chambres en Ville where was recommended by my frd. There is a cozy and artistic B & B i have never stayed before, traditional belgian interior design which make you feel confort while you are staying.

I have stayed at "chambre en ville" a few times and am still thrilled to discover the different rooms, and the details of each room: they have been decorated with plenty of imagination and taste. At the same time you can simply feel at home in them. In the mornings you share your breakfast with other guests at a big... More

We booked La Vie d’Artiste six weeks before travelling to the B&B but upon arrival we were shown to the room across the hall (Retour d'Afrique). This room faces the street but we didn't realise the significance of this at the time. I pointed out our booking was for the other room but this was met with a blank face... More

Upon arrival at Chambres en Ville we were asked what time we would like breakfast, a response of 7:30 am was met with Phillipe saying that is the time he has breakfast and it would not be possible. Eventually 8 am was agreed on, though he kept pushing for 8:30 am. The following morning we came down for breakfast and... More
