Most important is the fantastic restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel. Really great cooking and atmosphere! The hotel too has a great atmosphere for those who like it. Maybe less for office work in the rooms but certainly for an intriguing ambiente. Very special indeed, and worthwhile a visit of those who look for something beyond the conventional.

Fully restored '30ies design hotel. All original design elements have been kept. Fascinating! Hotel is well located close to royal palace and Louise shopping area, in a small quiet street. Beds are good, rooms are quiet.

Were not given notice on the construction of road outside of hotel so it made it very difficult to checkin. Hotel decor was very dated, the whole place smelled of cigarette smoke. The location of the hotel is not convenient for sight seeing. The receptionist spoke very little english so this made communication very difficult.

Dear kcbiscuits, Thank you very much for your comment! We are really concerned and disappointed by negative impression you got while visiting our hotel. The style of the hotel tends to be different from the big chain hotels .We try to offer a warmer and different atmosphere where people can disconnect from the everyday life. We are sorry if it... we booked in here last minute when our eurostar train was cancelled,it looked fine on the website but when we checked into our room it bore no resemblance to any of the rooms on the website or to most of the rooms reviewed! our double room was tiny,as was the bathroom, the only window opened into some kind of shaft so... Dear Jma18, Thank you for taking your time to write review on TripAdvisor. It really helps us to improve our service. As you could have noticed, the size of the room is mentioned on the official website of the hotel. There is no secret made about the relatively small size or equipment of our standard double rooms. If space was... More

I went alone to Bruxelles for business reasons, and I had to find a "cheap" accomodation. Hotel Le Berger was the answer: perfect location (20min walk from Grand Place), good and nice staff, satisfactory breakfast. Everything at the price of 120€ per night. The only negative remark is the poor wi-fi connection they provided me (apparently, they were having some... More

Hotel Le Berger was one of the cheaper accommodation options that we found for a weekend trip to Brussels. I was a bit concerned at first that it wasn't in the middle of the city, but quickly found out that the centre is only a 10 minute walk, and actually gives you a nice opportunity to see a different part... Nice, clean hotel in a quiet street near public transport and numerous pubs, restaurants and shops. Friendly staff, cozy rooms (if a bit small). Nice bar to have last drink before calling it a day. Reasonable price. Just one little issue: water temperature in the shower is not very stable when you use the "hand-held device" - you have to... More

This is a beautiful and well preserved art deco hotel. We loved the retro rooms, very authentic. The atmosphere is unique . Check the bar and the very good and cosy Italian restaurant. We recommend it definitely.

Hotel with a nice decoration, very efficient and helpful personnel, good restaurant with pleasant internal brick wall in the open court with flowers (see photo). Quite interesting open stairs connecting some rooms with corridors; not trivial electric switches

Very central, with excellent mood and very nice decoration. Great breakfast, great bar and Italian restaurant, although the latter is a bit overpriced. One of the best little hotels I've been in Brussels.
