Stayed one night on business. Check in and out were courteous and expeditious, although some needed information was not provided. Tiny elevator, from 1958, but renovated. It says to have capacity for 3 people but these would need to be close acquaintances so as not to result in an awkward situation. Inadequate safety information, looked for the usual escape route/emergency... More

I picked the Argus because it was close to the much more expensive "The Hotel" just across Waterloolaan, where I had a meeting. The area does not look unsafe as someone said, but I guess it depends where you are from; Brussels is a major city, but this area is as bad as around Brussel Zuid. Can't blame the hotel... More

I stayed here one night for business and found it well situated, clean, friendly staff and a good rate. The breakfast was brilliant. The lift up and down is a bit small but that's not a criticism. Would recommend. Its very close to two metro stations and the main street full of places to eat.

Do not even think of staying here. It is the worst hotel ever. It is in a horrible part of the city. Construction right outside of our window, garbage along the sidewalks. Very unappealing. Our deadbolt did not lock, the faucet in the sink sprayed out of the sink onto my legs, and the water was brown. I had to... More

nice clean room. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel was quiet and could hear no noise from the street. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really nice and a good selection. It was also included in the price and so was the tourist tax so was really good value. Great location less than 10... More

I stayed with my boyfriend for two nights just before main Christmas period. Travelling by car from Amsterdam. Hotel is situated in one of the streets of the main road which gives you quietness. When we were checking in we parked the car just at the street and unluckily for us got a ticket, so be careful and rather pay... More

Last week I visites Brussels and I stayed in the Argus hortel. Which was a good choise. The hotel is not that big and in a quit street, but close to the centre. The staff was very friendly and a central parking opposite the hotel. Rooms are complete with anything you need and airconditioned. Breakfast is oke for Belgiums terms.... More

Brussels hotels are notoriously expensive, and in my experience pretty dreadful, so this is really a good find - a good price, with an excellent breakfast included, and an easy walk to the lift down to the Marolles district and the lower town. Pet friendly, too, and with a good small park nearby to walk the dog. Helpful and likeable... More

Reasonable location but a bit basic. I found it quite noisy at night with people coming and going and I am not sure if I would want to stay more than one night. Staff were friendly. Room was basic, a few tatty edges (carpet threads and hole in a sheet) Basic lift and a bit of a rabbit warren to... More

Finding a decent and reasonably priced hotel in Brussels can be a nightmare. No complaints at all about this one. Set just off the main road and within walking distance of bars, restaurants and a couple of nice parks, the Argus looks quite old fashioned from the outside but inside it is comfortable and modern. Rooms are a bit on... More
