San Javier and Yacanto are very small villages (800 inhabitants added) on the southwestern foot of the Cordoba mountains (highest peak 9000 ft). Pucará is located directly on the main road in Yacanto. It has very nice grounds: a 7 acre garden that used to be a golf course overlooking the Sierra Cordobesa (mountain). Stayed for 4 nites, during hunting trip. This was the off season (winter) for the area. Rooms were clean and comfortable.Food was fresh and deliious.. Any needs were met by staff. A spacious lounge bar area both inside out was a pleasant retreat after a long day afield. Have a trip planne dfor 2010 and plan on staying here again.

Posada El Pucara is located in the foothills of the Traslasierra Mountains.
