This was the surprise hit of our month long vacation in Australia. We stayed at the EcoLodge (3 days/2 nights which was perfect; 2 couples and young adult) as part of our drive from Melbourne to Adelaide. I booked based on the TripAdvisor reviews and our stay far exceeded our expectations. We simply loved staying with Shane and Lizzie. Why... More

We stayed two nights as part of Walk91 Great Ocean Walk experience. We were slower walkers, so missed the dusk eco-walk tour of the property the first night. We were warmed up and dry soon--wet muddy shoes taken to dry n from of the fire. We did have to tote our own luggage up to the second floor--almost made me... More

A truly unique experience. We arrived just in time for the guided walk. We were shown around the property which has wild animals as well as animals that they were caring for to be able to release in the wild. After dinner, we fed the sugar gliders. The room was very clean and adequate. The food is good. There were... More

This was a unique experence. We did not know exactly what to expect but it far surpassed our expectations. We arrived mid afternoon and having settled in to our en suite room, afternoon tea was served at about 4 o'clock. Accommodation is for 10 guests and when all the other guests had arrived, at 4.30 we were invited to walk... More

We'd been booked into the Ecolodge as part of the Walk91 programme, so as we didn't really know what it was and as we'd just walked our first 12miles on the Great Ocean Walk we weren't really sure what to expect. Our en suite room was small but spotless and with the most comfortable bed I've slept in so far... More

I was in a group of 10 "older" walkers who stayed overnight at the Ecolodge, as part of our Walk91 package. Our first days walk was wet, so we were very grateful when we arrived at the Centre for hot showers and a large fireplace to dry our clothing and boots! Can't praise the staff enough - they were very... More

We spent two nights here while doing the Great Ocean Walk. We'd have been happy to stay longer. A very cold and very welcome beer awaited at the end of each day's walk, the dinners were fabulous, the breakfasts wonderful and the packed lunch terrific. But no other hotel offers a naturalist to take you for an afternoon walk among... More

We heard about the Ecolodge from friends who had visited and loved it, and we were not disappointed. The setting is amazing, with koalas and kangaroos in abundance, and a fascinating late afternoon walk with Shayne through the woodland. After supper, he introduced us to the nocturnal Sugar Gliders and Potoroo, and we were lucky enough to see a Tawny... More

We only went for one night wish we had gone for two, the days we were there is was really wet and we expected to not be able to do the nature walk, we did and loved it, the guys that run Great Ocean and the whole ethos behind it is what we should all strive to undertake an ounce... More
