We stayed in in the Winter of 2013 in a twin room - very small, furnished with just the two beds and a chair and with open shelves for clothes storage and no carpet on the floor, but with effective heating and plumbing. It was more or less by chance that we ended it this little "auberge" in a quiet valley away from mass tourism. We wanted to spend a weekend in Orcières Merlette and couldn't find any accommodation there. How lucky we've been to land in the Champoléon valley instead!!! It's only a twenty minute drive from there to the ski slopes... More

Stayed at the Auberge Des Ecrins in Champoleon with 8 of my friends for a 5 day winter activity break at the end of January. This has got to be the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are basic but why would you want to spend time in your room when you're in the beautiful French alps!... More
