What a fantastic restaurant , staff and food. Six of us met for a truly memorable lunch. Ate indoors as it was raining out. When the sun came out, we had coffee and dessert outside. The staff made that happen so beautifully for us. Fabulous experience!

We have just got back from the most wonderful weekend away for my partners 30th birthday. The hotel could not have done enough for us- we had a birthday cake made and activities arranged by reception who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is spotlessly clean and has... More

Moulin du roc was the highlight of a trip my daughters and I took in May of 2015. Away fro the crowded streets of Brantome yet high on our list of luxury hotel stays. The staff is uniquely attentive, the restaurant small but of the highest quality. Dinner fro the three of us with fine wine unmatched. Be prepared to... More

We discovered this hotel back in November 2014 when we were looking for somewhere special to celebrate my birthday dinner. We were so impressed with the quality of the food, the service and friendliness of the staff, that we were determined to return. The opportunity presented itself this May 2015, when we had a wedding anniversary to celebrate, and rather... More

we visited le moulin du roc to celebrate my wife's birthday and stayed over night too. Everything about the dining experience was exceptional. The food was excellent, and for this quality not expensive. The service was outstanding and friendly and the room delightful. We intend to repeat the experience as often as we can!

This stay was our second, the first being at least fifteen years ago. It is still run family run (by the next generation). The setting is spectacular! As an old mill there is a small stream and artfully preserved parts of the mill works here and there. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. The pool area, across a cute bridge... My wife and I just completed a 14 day trip thru France and would rank our stay at Le Moulin du Roc as the highlight. Everything was perfect from the beautiful setting along a picturesque stream to the attentive staff who went out of their way to help and accommodate. The food and service were exceptional. Le Moulin du Roc... More

Charming and beautiful hotel. An old mill, it sits right on a river and below an old French village. The staff spoke zero to little English but we didn't mind. They were very kind and helpful. It's a small hotel but great for exploring. It was May when we went and cold and rainy but we had fun exploring the... More

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a two night stay at Le Moulin du Roc. We were greeted at the quaint reception by the delightful staff and escorted to our room "Colza". The room was fantastic with a jacuzzi bath, 4 poster bed and breathtaking views of the rustic old mill and beautiful rivers that surround the hotel. We had one... More

We went back to Moulin du Roc as we'd had a couple of nights there several years ago and loved the charm of the old mill. The suite we had was very large with a big balcony overlooking the river Dronne. The rooms were furnished in old french style which suits the age of the mill. The staff were very... More
