Setting is a bit remote in terms of a nearby city but the village has all you need to relax, have a great meal, and sight see. Very friendly, comfortable and typically Swiss-super clean. Breakfast is held in the hilltop Castle above the Rhine. Beautiful setting indeed. A relaxing stroll along the Rhine is a perfect way to end a... More

The hotel is nicely located close to the Rhine River. Rooms are clean and reasonably equipped. Service was friendly and professional - the disadvantage is the remote location which is not well linked by public transportation. Unfortunately, also no supermarkets resp. similar other facilities available close by.

Great hotel, walking distance to the historical bridge, old church and the Rhine...but dont expect to eat at the hotel. The hotel restaurant is in an adjacent castle 'close by'. Step outside, down a gravel path, down stone stairs, over a bridge and follow the road around till you see a restaurant sign. (Not well lit at night). Great for... More

The hotel is very clean, but the room is very basic. The location is beautiful and the room has a little balcony with a nice view. Breakfast in the castle was very good. Reception staff is friendly and both check in and check out are done quickly and efficiently.

Wow, my legs were aching even though I used an electric bike. My old back was singing to me " You will pay tonight"! and I just wanted my room and something cold to wet my dry mouth. Enter the reception staff of this hotel , first I didn't feel I was getting a recital of information, secondly I couldn't... More

We spent a night here during a cycling trip. One night wasn't enough. The location is stunning. Our room was spacious and modern with a lovely little balcony looking across a babbling brook toward the castle. Clean, comfortable and the breakfast in the castle was a treat. We also had a lovely dinner and drinks at the attached outdoor restaurant... More

Stayed for one night on a recent trip to the area. Rooms were very clean, albeit a little basic. Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant in the castle was fantastic. Excellent standard of food and service very friendly and efficient. The hotel is a little off the beaten track and I didn't have time to explore. Being November... More

It is my regular Home Base when I travel to Schaffhausen in the summer. The Rooms are clean and spacious for European style rooms, the breakfast buffet is amazing, the staff is excellent. Going back in August. You're a 5 minute walk from the train to Schaffhausen and not far from Stein-am-Rhine. Sundays can be a bit boring, but that's... More

Stayed here from the 14th to the 15th of may for one night. Beautiful garden and castle where you will get your breakfast. In the evening hours you can sit right to the rhein. The rooms need some new furnitures but at all it was very good.

I've stayed here several times on business trips - it's convenient for me, but is a little off the beaten track. The hotel is clean and very functional - the bar area has a good central fire in the winter. For breakfast you need to walk to the Fischer Stube which is 5 minutes away, this takes you down on...
