reaching there by road (self driven 4x4 car): our trip from delhi was nice and comfortable until we crossed muzzafarnagar. after that and until haridwar, the road was bumpy and had all but desirable characteristics. the ultimate last stretch of about 20 odd kms was a lovely experience. drove next to the canal, then through local village and then on... After a few plans and cancellations I was finally able to spend a long weekend at Wild Brook Retreat in Rajaji National Park. The place is for nature lovers. If you prefer only luxury holidays, like AC cottages, exotic food, prompt room service, TV etc. then this is not the place for you. Staying in big and spacious eco cottages... More

From an American Couple - The drive out was bumpy but scenic, taking you through the nearby river bed for about 30 minutes to reach the cabins - The amenities were minimal but very comfortable. We were there during the colder season and there were plenty of blankets and we were given hot water bottles as well. - The food... More

Excellent Place for people who love nature, are adventurous and like the idea of having an off-beat vacation. Don't go here if you like to watch television, can't sleep without airconditioned rooms, fussy about food etc. The whole ideology behind this resort is that you gotta leave your worries behind in the city and just enjoy the seclusion of the... Our stay at the Wild Brook Retreat was, from start to finish, a complete disaster. The website for the retreat could not be more misleading. This is not the eco lodge the owner makes it out to be, rather it is a run down and unfinished mess. This review could run into pages, so bad was our stay, but we... More

We seriously object to all what this reviewer has written. They deducted our due money saying their money was stolen while she had the lock and key with her. She also accused our staff for so many other things without proof and called me on phone to refund money given against all the services like meals, jeep hire, entry tickets and dropping... More

As an individual, who grew up next to a river and close to forests, I am naturally fond of the wild and have been nursing a desire to introduce my kids also to same. Last year as my younger daughter turned 4, we started going out on vacations again. The first trip we made was Corbett-Kausani-Nanitaal and both my daughters... More

It was my third visit to the retreat and was better then the first two. Clicked great photographs of birds and animals in retreat and in the Rajaji National Park. Apr 21, 22 was great weather. If you expect luxury in such a far away place..with AC, mobile tower and TV thrown in between then you are missing the woods..then... More

Extremely nice & welcoming staff, very basic service. ok ok food but hey, u r not here for fine dining. excellent views and superb bird watching in the magical evenings... More

Thanks a lot for appreciating the place "Wild Brook". As I have been emphasizing that this place is not routine hotel but a place with a difference. I have developed it as an eco-lodge in jungle where there is least presence of human beings. When I started it in 2003 there was no water available ,no electricity available and all... More

'Wow" was my response when i visited this beautiful place. The initial ride through the jungle, the quite and stress free nights of sound sleep, the sounds of the jungle in the morning and the organic food served at this Eco lodge, all was just amazing. I got the perfect get away from my fast and mechanical life to a... More
