We stayed in the threshermans cabin June 14th. It was pouring rain and still wonderful. What a delightful, welcoming Australian family running the place. Their kids were the most respectful friendly kids I've ever met. It is an amazing place in the little town of maple creek! We weren't there for there music nights but will definitely return. The bed... More

Ok, Maple Creek, SK is a small town but there are big doings going on there. Maple Creek is very close to Cyrpus Hills Interprovincial Park and let me tell you the park is outstanding. If you are a Canadian history buff you should visit Ft. Walsh which is located within the park. We weren't able to stay in the... More

We used the Ghostown Blues B&B for two nights as our base while visiting Fort Walsh and the Cypress Hills. Here's the pros about the place. The owner, Greg Hisey, has a done a wonderful job of rescuing and restoring historic buildings and turning them into B&B rooms--sheep herders wagons, thresherman's caravan, ranch line shack etc. The rooms are all... Thank you for the feed back on our breakfast wraps. We had a lesson for making these wraps and so now the correction has been made to ensure that the breakfast wraps are more pleasant. Because we are located in a small town, we are limited to the variety of breakfast foods that you can get in the cities. I... More

We first visited Ghostown Blues in August, returning from a two-week vacation on the road. Our time there provided the first opportunity to really unwind. The place is barely a mile west of the town of Maple Creek, on the same road that leads to Cypress Hills Winery and Fort Walsh National Historic Site. The B&B makes a perfect staging... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Ghostown Blues. This is a wonderfully set up establishment with cabins, wagons and lots of indoor and outdoor spaces. The proprietor is friendly and personable, and there are so many places to relax in the sun, shade and around the fire. It is even complete with friendly cats and dogs! The cabin we stayed... More

While planning a trip to Cypress hills, a friend suggested this place. What a gem it ended it being. The b&b is made up of a group of small cabins and wagons around a lodge. All these buildings are nicely reconditioned at are tastefully decorated with a lot of antique items. They are stocked with quality linens and towels. The... More
