Yep, we missed ferry too and have cats....The room we booked an hour previously was taken, leaving us with the option of a shared bathroom so we said no. We were 'upgraded' to a nearby beach house which was nice but we had to pay more to get it. Pricing does not seem to be consistent as there was some... More

I run a travel company and am on the road for 140-150 nights a year, staying in the world's most luxurious hotels. It is safe to say that the Kuiperduin is not the Mandarin Oriental or the Ritz, but it's not trying to be. Yet, the personal and friendly service rival anything I've ever experienced at the world's most luxurious... More

I stayed with my dog at the hotel in early January after learning that it was pet friendly. I had not planned to stay but there was a problem with my pets vaccination stamp being a day over the 4-5 day limit so while this was sorted out at the local vet I took a room here for the night.... More

Plus: the only hotel in Hoek that accepts dogs; cute little garden included; romantic location - attached to the church on a cozy street close to shops and train station/ferry by feet; very good breakfast with fresh orange juice; home atmosphere; friendly and helpful staff. Minus: dust in the room (on the fridge) no soap in the toilet. Overall: I... More

Chose this hotel because they accepted dogs. They had a special downstairs room with access to a safe and enclosed garden. Although the bedroom furniture was basic, yet the bed was very comfortable, everywhere very clean, central heating worked extremely well so we felt cosy, Our bathroom looked newly refurbished with very good shower. The room could do with better... More

I had no idea what to expect as I had missed the ferry and had to find accommodation for myself and the dog. The owner was very welcoming and the dog was really delirious for the place as we stayed in the courtyard. Looks very picturesque at night with the steeple clock lit up and a bright moon. Breakfast was... More

ive never stayed anywhere quite like it!! We stayed here until the mad owner KO a female member of our party after deciding they were making to much noise, the rooms were opened whilst we were out and left open, luggage and belongings were put in the garden. The plug sockets were hanging off the walls in some of our... More

Like others here I was stuck for overnight accommodation with my dog. Here was a wonderful and friendly welcome with a sunny 'garden' room so the dog could sit outside. The location is great and the breakfast was even better!

We got stuck in Hoek van Holland and had to delay travelling by 24 hours. By good luck we found this hotel, that was also prepared to accept the dog too. The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of cereals that even appealed to 2 young children, croissants, cheese, ham Tec. With the... More

We used this hotel as a base for the Hoek van Holland - Den helder mountainbike beachmarathon (130 km's and longest in the world). 10 Minute bikeride from the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and decent bike storage. It's located in the High street and a 5 minute walk from the train station. Rooms at the front can... More
