We booked this hotel with the Weekendesk.fr. After a two-hours drive, we finally arrived at this charming hotel. The room was not that big, yet not that small. It's been refurbished recently. Our stay included a dinner. We did have a fine good meal with lots of excellent local cheeses. We will go there again, if we have a chance.

This hotel was clean, the staff helpful and smiling, and you can feel that Mercure is making efforts to make this hotel look nice. But renovation can only go so far. We found it pricey for an old building with no view and spartian comfort in the room.

We booked this hotel through Brittany Ferries two years in a row. The village in early September is quiet but even on a Monday night, we found a good restaurant on our doorstep. Parking is free and located either side of the hotel. The welcome was efficient and the room modern, in good repair and good. The first time we... More

Good location in a hilly area of French countryside . Lovely old building on main street recently renovated. Plenty of good quality food outlets nearby. Free parking beside hotel. Comfortable bed. BUT NO AIR-CONDITIONING!!

Hotel not up to normal Mercure standard, more like an Ibis but at twice the price (compare fabulously located and superior Mercure Monte Igueldo, at lower price). Cramped room, with tiny "add-in" bathroom unit; no air circulation in bathroom, leads to stale odour; cupboard doors don't work; attempt to drown the corridor odour with masses of pungent fragrance. Simple but... More

Small bedrooms, rather Ibis size than Mercure size No possibility to order food or drinks after 11pm, then be carefull in case of late arrival. Faded pool and hallways You need to take your towels from the bedroom for the pool, and then exchange them at the reception, as they fear you steal them ... Next time, I would rather... More

This was an overnight stay en route to the south. Saint Nectaire appears to have been a former holiday destination for recuperation and taking the "waters " there are several hotels here closed and up for sale. We chose the Mercure as a chain and thus expected the normal restaurant etc. generally associated with this type of hotel and suitable... More

We stayed here for 5 nights as a family in April 2012. The staff is extremely friendly, especially those of the restaurant. Going out of their way to please you and to make sure all is OK. It is an old but refurbished building. Especially in the corridors one still sees this is an old place. The room was very... More
