Lovely little B&B run by David and Paul - not easy to find right out in the country. Beautiful old farmhouse with quirky rooms, comfortable beds and fresh milk for your tea in the morning. Wlcomed on arrival with tea and delicious home made cake ( Paul competes in The Great British Bake Off) in the beautiful garden. Lovely fifteen... More

Lost count of the times we have stayed at Poplars Farmhouse! This time we slept in The Boat Room for the first time, we've now slept in all the bedrooms and they are all equally delightful with their own character. The friendly welcome and great attention to detail given by Paul and David is so consistent, as is the delicious... More

Given a welcome cup of tea and slice of cake to eat in the beautiful large garden when we arrived. Beautiful bedroom with lovely facilities. Great breakfast- amazing fresh fruit salad (or cereals), excellent cooked breakfast etc.... More

We cannot say enough about this charming B and B - it is a home from home with just lovely rooms. The hosts cannot do enough to welcome you and make your stay comfortable. When we sat in the garden, they bought tea and cake; as it got dark they bought out candles. Unobtrusive but friendly and helpful as well... More

We received a friendly welcome and were immediately offered refreshment. Our bags were carried to our rooms which were clean, bright, extremely comfortable and well equipped. Mr Kerr is a delightful host and will go one step further to make sure everything is done to make the stay a wonderful experience in an attractive house and garden in which we... More

We only stayed one night as we were catching the Harwich/ Esbjerg ferry. Poplars farmhouse is a very well kept period farmhouse with carefully tended gardens. The whole house is traditionally decorated/ furnished with considerable taste - and the bedroom was extremely comfortable and well equipped. We were welcomed by Paul, and given tea and biscuits in the garden as... More

We spent 2 nights at the Poplars at the end of June and had a lovely time. The farmhouse is full of character and old world charm. We stayed in the Boat Room with a four poster bed which overlooks the garden, front and back. David and Paul are extremely nice chaps; David welcomed us with tea and cake on... More
