It is only a 20 minute drive from the ferry port to the Manoir tucked away down a quiet country lane. The building surrounds a pretty walled garden with arched windows giving the impression of a sheltered cloister. Our room (hortensia) was white and grey with limed beams. The bed was comfortable and afforded a good nights sleep in the... More

Delightful accommodation, decor is distressed furniture and woodwork. We had the bamboo room over the barn with Bamboo painted on the wall. House is full of interesting bric a brac and old furniture. The owners were very welcoming , with information on nearby restaurants. We went to the Bonne Auberge and were very pleased with our choice. breakfast was yummy.... More

On arrival we were met by the owners who made us feel very welcome. They gave us business cards of local restaurants and directions. Our room was above a barn building. Room heaters were great as it was mid March and cold, the room was lovely, clean and had all we needed. Password for WIFI is attached to the dressing... More

Lovely quiet retreat in an interesting sprawling building about 30 minutes from the Euro-tunnel. The owner was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast that we had was lovely and fresh .The owner even made his own yogurt .The room we had (Hortensia ) was tastefully decorated , comfortable , spacious and clean with a great shower . Its a... More

It's got a hot tub! They supply robes and crocks. Costs about €20 for their 'spa'. Youngest son and I love a hot tub outside a gite in France.was absolutely wonderful, if you stay here just do the hot tub thing. The Gite is lovely the rooms are big and pretty. The grounds are expansive, there is table tennis and... More

We only reserved our room the day before. We wanted a place with secure parking as we were traveling North to the UK and our car was full., and we did not want to take a risk with parking in Calais . We had made a great choice ....... The room was warm, clean, comfortable bed etc. We went into... More

Although mid December a delightful Chambre D'Hote not far from the ferries or tunnel. An old manoir which in England might be termed shabby/chic and I must say we had a delightful 2 night stopover. Warm rooms, an excellent breakfast all at a very reasonable price. Mons. Thierry was most helpful and ran us into Ardres for the Christmas celebrations... More

This is the second time we have stayed and this B&B, the last time was in 2010. We remembered it as charming, lovely rooms, lovely garden great location for the tunnel and a good breakfast. Unfortunately now the B&B appears very run down. Our bed was small and uncomfortable, the room was small, pretty clean but much in need of... More

This tranquil gem is just a ten minute drive from Calais and consists of rooms in the main house or a couple of cottages in the grounds. There is a beautiful courtyard garden and open countryside all round although only 2 minutes from the lovely town of Ardres. we were two couples and put into a two bedroom, two bathroom... More

Hidden away down a quiet track and through a tranquil garden behind a mysterious wall Le Manoir de Bois is tasteful, charming, spacious and calm B&B. The room we stayed in (Le bambou - with a small bamboo mural in one corner), was in the eaves of a converted barn had lovely bare wooden polished floorboards, two comfortable beds (and... More
