I was going to visit this hotel with my husband owing to the positive reviews and the fact it was dog friendly. Apparently dogs are allowed in the bar but not the bedrooms so she would have to sleep in the car.... Not sure that constitutes a dog friendly hotel! There are plenty of other non dog friendly hotels which... More

We went with some friends for a weekend away . It is a fab cosy pub in a very pretty village. The staff were really friendly. The food was fantastic even for those of us who are vegetarian - huge portion sizes too. We felt really at home. I would definitely go back.

Had a lovely relaxing two night break recently. The rooms are small but perfectly adequate and we slept well. The breakfasts certainly set you up for a full day of walking. The evening meals were delicious with a good selection of specials on offer. The staff are really friendly; they ask about your day and seem genuinely interested in talking... More

Just stayed at this B&B for the third time, it is a lovely place, rooms are kept very clean.it is in a small quiet village, which is perfect for us. Charlie and his staff make you feel very welcome, and have a smile for everyone. You can also have lunch and an evening meal, which are well worth it, as... More

Absolutely delightful stay. Went for a couple of nights with my boyfriend. The room was absolutely beautiful, the bed was a brilliant size and so was the bathroom. The restaurant was superb and we were very pleased to find while we were staying there was venison pie on the menu. It was so good we had it two nights in... More

Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was pleasant, roomy and clean and the food was to a high standard with plenty of variety. The wine and draught beers were great too. We stayed for 2 nights and can’t wait to book again in the future or at least visit for a day out walking and popping in for a bite... More

While staying in a nearby cottage for a short break we ate her in the evenings. The pub has an excellent atmosphere, the staff are friendly and the bar food is some of the best we've had in a long while. Thank you for making us and our little dog welcome.

We arrived stressed from a long and exhausting Friday night motorway drive to an amazingly warm welcome. We were show to our table and ordered drinks & food and told we could check in when we had we had eaten and chilled. And that was the theme of the weekend. Great breakfast (the only place I have ever got 3... More

This was our third stay here at this lovely Inn. On a previous occasion we brought my elderly parents for a few days holiday and they thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the food and the way all the staff were so friendly and helpful. On this last visit we took our son and his wife for a short break, staying... More
