After having visited Hotel Leon d'oro several times in the past few years, I returned with my family in December 2014. The Hotel staff are always so welcoming & helpful, they cannot do enough for you during your stay. Although a small hotel, it has everything you need to keep you peaceful & happy during your stay. The restaurant has... More

Definitely the best hotel in the area. The Staff were helpful and courteous. All the staff I came in contact with spoke excellent english. The quality of food in the restaurant was good (not as good as the hype, but still good) The rooms were clean and decorated to a very good standard Close to the castle if you are... More

Very clean and modern hotel in a beautiful village. The restaurant at the hotel was very good and had typical dishes of the region. The hotel is a short walk (uphill) to the castle that is is very interesting from the 13th century. There is a marvelous view of the country side. A great find if you are in the... More

We had a late recommendation to visit this town. The town itself is lovely, well preserved medieval town with an iteresting walk all around, and good, accessible museums. Cannot speak more highly of the hotel. The staff were friendly, very helpful and spoke good english. Ate in the restaurant and the chef came out to us and talked about local... More

We stayed here for one night en route to the Cote d'Azur. Nice and charming hotel in a very cute old town. Definitely worth it to make a stop here and enjoy the village and the great food. Hotel rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was good...overall a very nice stay.

Castell' Arquato is a delightful small medieval town NW of Parma. The Leon d'Oro is a great place to stay as it is central, with parking outside. The hotel itself is compact but the bedrooms are well appointed and modern. They are not cheap but they are good value, given the hotel's location. The restaurant is good and not expensive.... More

We went to Castell'Arquato for our friends wedding and the hotel was full of wedding guests! Everything was great! The breakfast is not big, but it is good. It had everything that we needed! Every time I had questions before our trip, I would send emails to the hotel and they would reply very fast! The room was comfortable and... More

Staying here (more or less) frequently on business trips and really like this hotel. It is very comfortable, charming, clean, service is very good and the location is unbeatable, As business trips go, I never have time to fully enjoy the surrounding, but after a stressful dahy this hotel is just the right place to unwind and relax. Cant comment... More

Castell' Arquato is a delightful hilltop town close to Piacenza - more the sort of place you expect to find in Tuscany or Umbria. The hotel and the town have been restored very sympathetically. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Breakfast was way above... More

The Leon D'Oro, recently renovated, is situated in the historic town of Castell Arquato. The town is historic and very interesting. We recently booked wedding guests into this hotel and they were all very happy with the service and friendliness of the staff. The rooms were comfortable and it was a real bonus that the staff spoke English.
