The food was as I expected for a restaurant of this reputation, although over-fussy. The room lacked ambience and was a little like eating in a library; stark and not as comfortable at the Petite Manoire in Morges. The experience was marred by having to share the lounge with smokers, which I thought was illegal. There are other great restaurants... More

A family business where passion of cooking, excellent service and extremely qualitative products make the difference. Ruth and Nathalie are 200% committed to offer you an unforgettable experience, they are caring, kid friendly, try to anticipate your needs, attention to detail is really appreciable. It was snowing heavily and our car was cleaned of snow in the morning before we... More

We stayed here for a week and ate in each night and it was superb. The attention to detail was extraordinary and the family couldn't have done more to make us feel at home and welcome . The delicious homemade bread was faultless and the feeling that the whole family was pulling together to go the extra mile was fab.... More

Restaurant has a very bad value for money. Same price as restaurant of Benoit Violier in Crissier with 3* where you should rather go! the bottle of wine was not opened in front of us which means a lot. Furthermore, Mrs Ravet is always behind the waiters to double check if you are happy every 5 mins!

We stayed one night for our wedding anniversary . We had booked room 6, with balcony. The room smelt of damp and had old fully fitted carpet. The shower was very old and below standard and there was only a glass door to the separate toilet. No free wifi and strange lighting solutions. Outside there were still summer temperatures but... We stayed at L'Ermitage for a romantic weekend to celebrate a very special occasion. The (standard) room was more than adequate with a small terrace overlooking the beautiful garden and it was extremely quiet during the night. Nice bathroom, good beds and all the amenities that you expect at this level. However, the main asset of this beautiful place is... More

Perhaps the cold has biased a little our thoughts. All in all, the room we stayed in was big, and clean but outdated. We had dinner à la carte and although everything was up to standards, we missed flavor, enthousiasm and distinctive signs that a 2 michelin star chef is cooking for you. Very annoying however was that all the... More

I was looking for a Michelin starred restaurant in or near Lausanne, and the only one available at 3 days notice was L'ermitage. On arrival, it had the ambiance of a somewhat dated manor house, clean but slightly old fashioned. The meal was chosen and the first slight concern was no one asked us if we wanted any water, none... The Tasting Menu / Menu Degustation is symply superb. The service is excellent, attention...... It's incredible, but white wines are served at the exact temperature !!. Their cellar is amazing, they'll show it to you. The hotel is also very nice. Must come back.

My husband & I just spent 3 very pleasant nights at this small family run Relais Chateaux hotel. Although the hotel is renovated 17th century, the rooms are new & are very comfortable with the amentities you'd expect at a luxury hotel - comfy beds, down duvets, thick towels, etc. The rooms were quiet & the staff incredibly accomodating. The... More
