We're a family of 3 and stayed here a couple of summer nights while we went up the Jungfraujoch and did a few hikes in the area. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating to us. During the summer its not so busy as ski season, and we almost had the place almost to ourselves after the day trippers caught... More

My husband and I shared the best lunch of our week long ski trip at this beautiful restaurant. Amazing view, and we shared a fondue that was three types of fondue in a divided pot! The food was perfect, service, perfect, view amazing. If anyone knows of more restaurants in the mountains like this one please let me know. On... More

Everything you would expect in a mountain "Hutt" - great filling meals, communal rooms (ok for 1 night!), hot showers. The view is great, and a nice experience to end your hike and still feel like you are with nature. The location is a great place for photos, and offers you the chance to do the "Top of Europe" train... More

Walked from Mannlichen down to KS. Very pleasant downhill walk even after the rain started. Great views from the restaurant. Stopped for lunch at the Grindelwaldblick restaurant at KS. Fantastic Rosti and apple pie at a reasonable price (for Switzerland). Views form KS were very good even though the visibility was limited. Worth it for the meal!!

One of the nicer hostels encountered on a hiking trip in the Bernese Alps. Comfortable, friendly staff and good food, all in the shadow of the Eiger. It's definitely worth the extra 5 minutes walk uphill from the main touristy hotels in Kleine Scheidegg - it feels a lot more secluded. The hostel also has a viewing platform that allows... More

On my trip I only made use of the bar / restaurant and outside terrace of this guesthouse but it was a higlight of my trip. The views from the terrace were wonderful and the service friendly and reasonably quick, and the food good. You have to walk a short way north (maybe 450 metres) from the centre of Kleine... More

Almost tucked away behind a rocky outcrop at the back of Kleine Scheidegg, this mountain guest house can only be described as wonderfully friendly. By day its a busy restaurant, but once all the tourists have returned back down into the valleys it's a peaceful heaven on earth. The views across Grindelwald valley and up to the Eiger and the...
