My stay at this hotel was on holiday, it was my base 6 nights, the rooms are in the traditional Swiss fashion which does tend to make them a little dark with all the dark wood around, the beds are quite comfortable and clean. The dining room is light and airy with pleasant views, breakfast is the standard continental style... More

I think that overall the reviews I read gave me a sound overview of this hotel's strengths & weaknesses. As I sleep very badly I put feelers out (by speaking on the telephone with the owner) before booking the all inclusive rail holiday that used this place as a base for 6 nights. He was very empathetic, non-judgemental & obliging.... More

I arrived at this hotel with a little trepidation having read some of the previous reviews - I needn't have worried.... Staff were very friendly and welcoming and quickly had me on my way up to my bedroom. The owners are very much evident and very 'hands on' in the running of the day-to-day operation. I stayed in room 10... More

A fair sized 5th generation family run hotel in a picturesque location in the Swiss Alps. A short walk down a very steep hill from the train station. It was my main base for a week long all inclusive rail tour holiday. Advisable for anyone with health issues to get a lift to the station whenever required. The room, (room... More

Perfect hotel for a real "get away from it all" break. My room was spacious, clean and very warm. Sleep quality good, but could be disrupted by the raging Albula river with the window open. Breakfast was fairly minimalist but satisfactory and dinner was a set menu each night, generally of good quality, but not necessarily to everyone's taste, with... More

Yes, I would concur with previous contributors that one would not normally spend a week or so here but it is very convenient for transport links to many parts of La Suisse, Chur is on the rail line to Tiefencastel so it great for connections, We arrived as the hotel was having either its year end clean or pre season... My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Albula & Julier, with Shearings holidays, we found it idea for site seeing within easy reach of Chur, Arosa, St Moritz, Davos and Klosters, as well as close to the railway station for using the local service or catching the Bernina and Glazier Express. The hotel it self is split into... More

This hotel is an enigma - should be much better than the experience gained through staying for one week. Single rooms are minimalistic, efficient but without much comfort, They are very clean and have basic necessities. No air conditioning nor fan and no beverage facilities supplied in rooms Communal areas are spartan and restricted with just a few chairs and... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and the hotel was lovely. I was so pleased with the room- it was stunning. Beautiful view of a river too. Although it was very loud which some people may not enjoy. The food served in the restaurant was very good and the staff were helpful especially the hotel owner who was wonderful. The... More

Situated very handily for those doing the various rail tours in Switzerland - the only problem being access to the station, which involved a pretty steep walk up from the hotel. The hotel itself was very comfortable, with quite spacious rooms, Unfortunately mine was on the top floor, tucked under the eaves. Natural daylight was very restricted due to a... More
