I only stayed here for one night but I shall definitely return. The hotel was beautiful. The area downstairs was spacious and very nicely decorated. There is a swimming pool which is a bonus and an unexpected surprise. The full English Breakfast was excellent with excellent service. Dee & Michael were excellent hosts, detail that you wouldn't of experienced in... More

A wonderful welcoming family run hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast both the continental and full English. Lovely décor, very tasteful. Large room with good views. The pool was great, we had it to ourselves for an hour, towels provided. Overall a very enjoyable stay, we have already booked to return later this year.

Some of the rooms have been refurbished since my last visit and they put me in a very 'French' room. It was lovely and I also appreciated the large TV, so many places have a teeny tiny one! I stayed 2 nights and was very comfortable. There is a swimming pool but I haven't tried it as I never seem... More

Elegant hotel, friendly welcome with tea and cake, lovely room with 4 poster bed, spotlessly clean, an excellent breakfast and a great location. An oasis of calm, great value and would certainly stay again. The Smiths of Charente, France

Ideal location and lovely rooms. Great family run guesthouse. If you want to swim go to the beach as the indoor pool is only available at certain times due to the swimming lessons. Would definitely return.

We were a group of 9 people who stayed for a wedding party. 6 adults and 3 children. Although they boast about an indoor heated swimming pool it is largely used by local residents and swimming clubs. Guests have to book a time slot of 1 hour to use the pool when it is available. We could not use it... More

A lovely friendly welcome by the daughter, was shown our room and offered drinks and cake. Room is beautifully decorated and clean. Had use of the pool and all facilities. Breakfast was plentiful and enough choice for all needs. Would definitely return here.

I have stayed at the Rothesay for 8 weeks, whilst working away from home. Having stayed in a number of different rooms, I've experienced the hotel from a number of different perspectives. The owners are friendly and helpful, the facilities fine. Rooms are comfortable and recently refurbished. Only minor complaint is that WiFi doesn't work, unless you are in one... More

Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding in Christchurch. clearly undergone much renovation which is nicely done. Booked 3 rooms all of which were very well equipped and clean. Hosts were very pleasant. Location is ideal for Highcliffe Castle (5mins walk) and lovely beach (10mins). Would I stay again?....Absolutely.
