Although we only spent 1 night at Caddon View the hospitality of Steve and Lisa was first class. They are both really nice generous and genuinely warm people and nothing seems to be a problem. The rooms are very spacious and have a nice mix of authentic decor with some modern touches and a mattress you don't want to get... More

We stayed for 4 nights at the Caddon View Guest House in Innerlieithen, to celebrate my birthday. We stayed in a superior double room and it was extremely luxurious. The standard of the accommodation was excellent, and the food was absolutely outstanding. I would highly recommend having your evening meal at the guest house too. In my opinion it was... More

We stayed 3 nights in a beautiful double room while we were in town for a really mucky trail race. The welcome from Lisa & Steve was lovely, the room was spotless with a settee and lots of space, the quilt was really nice with no need for extra covers and two radiators kept the room very warm so we... Thank you for your kind review - it was great to see you and all the 'regulars' for the Deerstalker weekend. Sadly our knees precluded us from running through the wet and mud in fancy dress (strange this affliction which occurs regularly every March), but we are happy to cheer you all on and provide plastic bags for your dripping... Just visited Caddon View and agree with most comments. Room lovely, food great and hosts extremely helpful with local attractions. More Boutique than Guest House. Evening dinner was very good and after a day in the Borders should be included in the experience. Pleased to be able to say we will visit again in spring or summer.

Thank you for your kind review, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us, including dinner made from the fantastic local produce we have here in the Borders. We would agree that the best guest houses offer an experience as good as some boutique hotels. We certainly try and go the extra mile with home made bread, and... More

Second time we've spent the weekend at Caddon View and both times the experience gas been excellent. Rooms are very well presented, airy and spotlessly clean. Great welcome with tea and cake in the lounge area. Breakfast is lovely with a wide selection of local borders produce. Location is second to none for access to Glentress and Innerleithen mountain bike... More

It was lovely to see you all again at Caddon View, and we are glad that you had a good stay and enjoyed the excellent mountain biking on our doorstep. It would obviously be great to see you again when next you are in the area. More home-made cake awaits! With our best wishes Lisa and Steve More

What a fantastic overnight stay following a great day at the rugby Lisa and Steve have established a beautiful place. We stayed in the Traquair room, absolutely 1st class and the bed was that comfortable we nearly missed breakfast. The evening dinner was sublime, we have to say the duck breast main course was probably one of the best meals... More

Thank you very much for your review, we are pleased that you had a good stay, helped no doubt by the result in the rugby (let's just leave it there shall we!) We have a number of guests who use Caddon View as a base for events in Edinburgh, the festivals or the rugby, as it's very easy and convenient... More

This is a real find (only an hour from Edinburgh). Beautifully comfortable, loads of space in the bedroom and a very nice drawing room to sit in on the ground floor. Sparkling clean. Nice and peaceful location, off a side street in the pleasant village of Innerleithan - close to Peebles and lots of nice Borders walks. Very friendly couple... More

Thank you for your kind words. A surprising number of lifelong Edinburgh residents come and stay with us, and are amazed by the beauty of the scenery and the things to do down here in the Borders. As most tourists charge north to see the 'real Scotland', they miss out on this hidden gem, and as a result it is... More

We stayed here over New Year and found this place to be a perfect spot, with perfect food, and a perfect welcoming atmosphere. As others have said, Steve and Lisa do a very professional job meeting your needs and requirements and they are both very passionate and justifiably proud of what they do. The beds are lovely and comfortable and... More

Thank you for your kind review. It was lovely to meet you both and even to find our paths might have crossed in the past. You would be most welcome on any of your return visits to the UK, when my memory might have improved to check that out further. We hope Caddon View is as comfortable and welcoming as... More

Booked here after reading the many good reviews and we loved it. We were just up for a few days on a pre Christmas family visit and our only disappointment was we didn't get to spend a little more time enjoying such beautiful accomadation. We would definitely recommend Caddon View and will be making a return visit in the future.

Thank you for your review. We're always happy when our guests have a pleasant stay exploring the Tweed Valley. With wall to wall blue skies, as it is this morning, it is a remarkable beautiful, yet undiscovered corner of Scotland. We look forward to seeing you back at Caddon View in the future. With best wishes, Lisa and Steve More

We only stayed one night and chose the Caddon View because the website states it is dog friendly. Unfortunately before we'd even been given the key to our room, we were asked, "so the dog will be staying in the car while you're out"? As it was late November, and barely above zero, and given that we were paying extra... More

Wow, a 2 circle review because you got everything you wanted. That's a first. Let's cut to the core of the matter, you booked a room and were going out for dinner. No problem, there's some great places to eat around here and some are dog friendly too. But you wanted to leave your dog in the room while you... More
