Whilst walking the Southern Upland Way, we stayed for one night at Backcroft. As well as being really welcoming with a pot of tea& biscuits on arrival, this B&B B stood out ( amongst only a few others) on the entire two week walk as an establishment that wanted walkers and knew how to cater for them. Really good breakfast,... More

Unlike previous guests we had not done anything energetic which deserved the first class accommodation and service offered by Bob an Lesley. We did however fully appreciate their fine home. Breakfast was wonderful - amazing choice. We had dinner in which was fab and fully recommend. We wish them both the very best when they finally retire. Thank you for... More

The perfect stay e-nroute from Alnwick to Edinburgh by bike. We were made very welcome, enjoyed a lovely cuppa in the living room after a long ride and had somewhere safe to store our bikes. The room are generous and very comfortable. A great breakfast set us up well for the ride the next day. One of the best B&B's... More

I stayed here for two nights as part of a week long biking trip. The location means it's ideal for the 7 Stanes trails at Innerleithen and Glentress. The owners are both lovely people and couldn't be more helpful. The b&b is clean and have been decorated to a very high standard, the highlight was the super powerful shower which... More

Robert & Lesley have only been in the hospitality business for four years since retirement. We arrived after a long day of driving. Robert "forced" us to relax with a pot of tea and plate of cookies in the beautifully appointed guest lounge. Our room and ensuite bathroom were lovely. There was complimentary sherry or port for a nightcap. The... More

After a hard day at Glentress we were warmly welcomed at Backcroft by Lesley+Bob. Our bikes were washed + securely put to bed for the night. We were offered tea which came with the most delicious home made scones + jam this was a welcome treat made even more enjoyable by relaxing in the lovely lounge. Bedroom was huge (triple... More

I was riding the End to End and arrived cold and hungry on an early April evening. I was greeted with tea and biscuits (decaf which I need!) while Robert put my bike away. They pointed me to the (very) nearby pub where the food was excellent and I returned to a very comfortable room in peaceful surroundings. My only... More

My girlfriend and I spent 1 night here in March before heading to Glentress mountain biking the next day. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and were offered tea and biscuits by Bob who was a great host.
