Really great place, a bit difficult to find, as it is on the road to Santa Catalina. Fabulous beach (private) with very helpful managers Rosie and Simon. They will help you booking a diving/snorkeling trip to Coiba where you can swim with the sharks! Great to go horse riding too!

Stayed several nights in Hibiscus Garden and really enjoyed the time there. My room (C3) was very nice and bright with selfmade furniture, view to the sea and as well very proper ! The service in general was great (Rosie and Simon are always so nice and caring). And the food was delicious!!! Finally it is a nice place to... More

We followed lonely planet's review and booked several nights here. What we found contradictory to our expectations were the waterfront (not nice- very long walk across mud like sand at low tide), the rooms (low quality bedding and furniture) and the general hospitality (no wifi as advertised, charges for everything like coffee and local phone call).

We stayed three nights in the hibiscus garden . Rosie en Simon run the place and they are very sensitive what people need, their service is great. They make the place a succes. The place is outside Santa Catalina and you need transportation. ( They have a shuttle one way 6,50 ) The beach is not so nice for a... More

Stayed 3 nights in the micro-dorm (just 1 bunkbed). Room was very small, but you do not need to spend time there. The property is beautiful, right on the beach, amazing surroundings, more than enough hammocks. Although not cheap (travelling on a budget), the food served is really good, about the best I've had in Panama. Wi-fi signal is indeed... More

We had a great time and the staff was very nice Rosie and her husband were so friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Since we had a car, the distance from Santa Catalina was not an issue and it was actually nicer to be away from the town and feel really secluded. The rooms were cleaned daily but no... More

The best part has to be the beach, at times we were the only occupants of this seemingly endless stretch. There are free hammocks and sun shades which are a blessing as the sand burns your feet so always take your shoes down to the water if you don't want to be yelping on the way back! I have to... More

After 2 months of traveling through most of Central America, staying here was one of the highlights of my trip. Rosie, Simon, Sam and the rest of the staff were some of the most amazing people I have crossed paths with in my travels. These are genuine, amazing people who enjoy sharing their time with other good people. It was... More

From the second we entered the property we felt very welcome. The managers Rosie and Simon are very friendly and make you feel at home straight away. The property is well maintained the rooms are nice and decorated lovingly. The food offered at the restaurant is delicious and there is a good variety to choose from. There is also a... More

After booking a two night stay at the Hibiscus Garden, blindly picked from the Lonely Planet guide, we ended up staying for nine nights. We had an superb stay at this special and unique location. As reviewed before: without having a car, it is indeed a bit far away from Santa Catalena. But: local busses for just $1 p.p. run... More
