nice and friendly hotel, good rooms, clean and very friendly staff. You can place your bike in a shed, which is save for the night. Wonderfull area for cyclists and a good place to come "home"to. It is only a 7 minutes bike-tour to leerdam, where are restaurants and supermarkets and some other shops.

A good hotel for cyclists doing the lovely Linge route: good amenities for bikes, clean rooms, rather high prices. The dining room is intimidatingly un-cozy: terrificly practical but guests are silenced by the lack of atmosphere, we couldn't get away fast enough to find some cheer. Excellent free WiFi. A lot of business facilities...A sensible choice.

The hotel is located in Asperen (Holland). I suppose this is not place you go in a tourist trip but we happened to be touring by bicycle and we ended there one of our stages. The reception personal was pleasant and efficient. The rooms are bright and clean and of course the whole area is very quiet. You will not... More

We have stayed here many times and can heartily recommend it particularly for friendly, helpful staff and its unusually large rooms all with en-suite ,both standard and de-luxe. Breakfast is adequate but strictly Continental so forget ANY hope of a full English. Also, rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities, The lack of air conditioning in our room... More

We (two couples) stayed at De Schildkamp. Do not be distracted by the outside of the hotel, it looks quite businesslike but the rooms are very nice: large, clean, good beds and a comfortable bathroom. The breakfast, which was included, is great, lots of choices and some regional products. You can rent bicycles, which are of good quality, and start... More

A nice, clean hotel with pleasant staff. Nice for elderly people or if you want to stay somewhere very peaceful. Nice places nearby and with good weather a lake across the road. Good for cycling or relaxing.

This hotel look really old: it reminded me of low-cost hotels when you had to travel low-budget as a student. The entire atmosphere is rather depressing: its look is a mix between a hospital and a prison. The rooms are big but dusty and oldfashioned. There is a television but the screen is so small that you can't watch it... More
