Booked one night in Chartres on way back from Bordeaux region. Hotel was just as I expected - chain hotel on outskirts of town. Room small but was clean and had necessary facilities for an overnight stay. Certainly isn't a 5 minute drive into centre of Chartres as advertised, you might have been tempted to walk at that but dont.... more

This is an OK place to stop for a night during a journey. The hotel is in the pleasant modern suburb of Luce on the outskirts of Chartres. It would take a very brave person to stay here at the moment - it's being refurbished, but they don't tell you that when you book. just discover the horrible truth when you check in - too late to go somewhere else.
