Loved the architecture and atmosphere of the hotel.Impressed with the two outdoor areas.A swimming pool would complete the experience.A perfect base to explore the Barossa,Clare Valley and Mclarenvale wine regions.A small comment the components of the breakfast menu though very good were the same for our selections during our 4 day stay.

Reception welcome excellent, remembered my wife's birthday, as they did at dinner at Appellation, with Happy Birthday on the dessert plate. Personalised stationery a lovely touch. Room upgrade to Stonewall Suite fantastic for two nights. The courtyard overlooking the vineyards stunning with wine and cheese. Great outdoor shower as well as indoor. Dinner at Appellation lovely, we opted for the... More

This location is lovely and the rooms are very private with beautifully landscaped courtyards and outdoor showers. The setting is very peaceful while still close to the action of downtown restaurants and Barossa Valley wineries. As other reviewers have mentioned, the property begs for a swimming pool.

Spent 4 nights here. Spacious, comfortable and immaculate suite with pleasant outlook across the rolling vineyards. We especially liked the outdoor shower room. Agree with previous comments that a swimming pool would have been much appreciated. Good fitness room and guest laundry facilities. Didn't really care for breakfast being served in our room and would have preferred to eat breakfast... More

The two days we spent in The Louise were wonderful. The Hotel is really good. The room very spacious and cosy. Food and wine in the restaurant are very good and the staff efficient. Unfortunately they don't serve breakfast in the Restaurant. We had to order our breakfast the day before. It is served in the room. We hate to... More

We stayed at the Louise for 3 nights in December, from the 27th to the 30th. We were a family group of five – two couples and a 5-year-old. We stayed in a Stonewell Suite (2 adults) and a 2-bedroom Seppeltsfield Suite (2 adults and child). The location is great, a quiet spot in-between Barossa’s main towns and near many... More

We loved the luxury of The Louise. The rooms are small apartments complete with small front courtyard, and outside seating area at the rear looking over the vineyard. The apartment or suite as it is called is well furnished with king size bed and a separate eating area. The bathroom has his and her’s sinks, inside and outside shower and... More

It was our second trip to The Louise so we were familiar with the excellent location, rooms and ambience. The staff were as helpful as before and it was very reassuring that the standard of housekeeping and service has been maintained since our first visit a few years ago. The removal of the swimming pool is a very sad loss... More

Stayed at The Louise's Vineyard suite last September and it has been a great experience. The layout of the suite can be re-configured to enhance flow and view of the vineyard. The two armchair or sofa facing the TV can be removed to open up more space in the suite. Our dining experience at The Appellation exceed our expectation and... More

We just had 2 nights here celebrating a 60th. It was well above what we'd normally spend but for a one-off surprise I couldn't think of anything better. I booked online direct an advance purchase. There were lots of inclusions such as local goodies: fruit bowl, cookies, organic teas, nespresso machine, carafe of port and wonderful hot and cold selections... More
