The hotel environment is warm and relax with nice decoration. The backyard is the mountainous area with the spectacular sunset scenery. You can enjoy birdwatching over there especially the woodpeckers. The room is clean. Services are excellent. I'm impressed with ELIZABETH MORA, a beautiful talented young woman, who is very helpful, cheerful , always available and never stop working. She... More

The hotel grounds were excellent! The decor was well thought out and authentic. The was a really nice pool area with cute swings and hammocks and beds outside that you could chill in. Our room was on the second floor on the balcony and had a nice outside space with a view. Our room was spacious, and clean. The bathroom... More

If you want a warm and authentic Costa Rican hotel you won't find better than this. It is not an American style hotel thank goodness but if that's what you want go elsewhere, they are ubiquitous. The value for money can't be beat with clean rooms, lovely gardens and a pool and a good breakfast to start the day. The... More

We used this hotel as our first night's stay and last night's stay in Costa Rica. I simply chose it based on the reviews on here and the great price. It was such a nice hotel to start our trip. The staff are wonderful and really try to make your visit personal. They will help you as much as they... More

Recently stayed here 8 nites. Fabian, Heiner and Tatiana, were incredibly helpful, gracious and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for better service. The hotel is beautiful, the surroundings and furnishings are so warm and comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace is magical and a great way to start your day. Felt safe and tranquil. Only thing missing was a bath, or if the... More

What a deeply enjoyable and relaxing experience I had here. I was fortunate to just stumple onto Hotel Posada Canal Grande. I found that I stepped into a nurturing caccoon of hospitality and graciousness. This is often what is missing in the larger more coporate hotels. The furnishings were of the highest quality in Mediterranian style accompanied by original art... More

We missed a flight at the San Jose airport and needed to find a place to stay on short notice. I found Hotel Posada Canal Grande online and quickly booked a room with zero expectations. Upon arrival, we were so pleasantly surprised that we actually wished we could stay longer! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is absolutely charming.... More

Need a safe and tranquil place as a layover or a 2 wk stay as I did, this is it. Management is excellent & eager to make your stay a personal one, just like going to Grandparents home. I roam the world and when I discovered this jewel, its a very uncommon place compared to the others in CR. For... More

This is one of my favorite places to stay in the San Jose area. It's way off the beaten path in Santa Ana, yet close to everything we go to San Jose for. I love the feel of the place, it's very "tranquilo" as they say here. The owner has brought in so much furniture from exotic places, it's wonderful... More

Awesome! A bit far from San jose, but is silent and beautiful, with lots of nature around. The staff was suuuuuuuuuuper cool and helpful, plus the food was really good, fresh and made with love. Costa Rica is a great countrym you can have it all in a few days, and costarricans are really nice people, I wish I could... More
