The Zamora Estate Hotel is conveniently just a short trip from the international airport. I started and ended my Costa Rican adventure at Zamora spending three nights there at the begining of my vacation and 2 nights at the end. The grounds are stunning with lots of wildlife. The rooms are spacious and charming, and beautifully decorated with local wood... More

This was our first stop on our Costa Rican second honeymoon. Very private bungalow, nicely appointed, large bathroom, and huge shower. Grounds are beautiful, trails throughout, with the beginings of a vineyard on the back of the property. Food was absolutely delicious! I had the pan seared snook, it melted in my mouth! Very personal staff and owner. Will definately... More

We stayed for just one night at the end of our 2 week holiday, but wished we could have stayed much longer. Zamora Estate is truly an oasis, a tranquil and luxurious place just a short distance from downtown San Jose, and just 20 minutes from the airport. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and have great rustic charm, overlooking ponds... More

We just had dinner at Zamora estate and stayed the night and it was fabulous. If you are looking to get away from the regular corporate hotels and looking for a real Costa Rican stay with comfort this place should be top of your list. Ana and Roman will take great care of you and you feel like house guests... More

We loved our few days at Zamora - really good 5 star accommodation at reasonable prices and Roman and Ana could not have been more helpful. Roman arranged car rental from the Hotel and saved us a lot of hassle (for a more reasonable price than we had been quoted online). They could not have been more helpful and it... More

We chose Zamora Estates for our last night of our Costa Rica vacation because it looked like a peaceful, convenient and comfortable place to spend the night before a long day of travel home. Unfortunately, it was anything but peaceful the night we were there because, unbeknownst to us, the estate had booked a wedding with 108 guests and a... More

I cannot say enough about our great stay at Zamora! Roman & Ana were such warm and welcoming hosts - offering us wine, allowing us to explore the grounds, spending time to chat with us about the rest of our trip. Roman even offered to plan our next trip to Costa Rica - yes, please! Ana is a FABULOUS cook... More

The estate itself is gorgeous and the environment is so comfortable and intimate with only four rooms! The owners were so welcoming and hospitable--made us feel right at home! The food was amazing as well!

The last stop on our honeymoon before flying out of San Jose was supposed to be nothing more than a night of lodging. But the Zamora Estate Hotel turned out to be so much more. An experience of warmth, hospitality and familial tranquility awaits you on the private estate of Ramon and Anna Zamora, the latter an inspired chef and... More
