Flying to Apoka in Kidepo Valley National Park means flying to paradise ! This is even more so when you have the lodge for yourself ...and you reach absolute perfection when Jonathan and Pamela, the owners of the lodge, are present. We spend 4 fantastic days in Apoka. The lodge is surrounded by spectacular panoramas and wildlife around the lodge... More

Our family of four had a wonderful time at this lodge. The vistas are spectacular, and you don't have to leave your room or your lodge to get great views of wildlife. We had waterbuck drink at the swimming pool, and walk up the steps near the bar, we were entertained by warthogs and hartebeest at the waterhole below where... More

Apoka Safari Lodge is special. From the wildlife wandering through the lodge grounds (the lodge has a water hole for the animals and an observation tower to view the grounds and surrounding plains) , to the make-you-feel-like-royalty staff (Oscar, the manager from Spain, Rinske, the intern from Holland, Denis, our driver/guide, Ponsiano and Peter, who took care of us), to... Overall: Outstanding park for people looking for a luxurious experience in a very relaxing environment. Many safari parks/lodges are creating a testosterone/danger atmosphere, this one is very family friendly and relaxed. If you would not see lions and elephants once in a while, you might forget you are not in an animal farm! Positive: 1. Kidepo landscapes are just breathtaking... More

We had the privilege of staying in this hotel which is located in the middle of KVNP which is by far the best national park in the country. We enjoyed a walking safari and even got to track lions which really isn't something you do in very many national parks. The rooms were stunning and the views out of this... More

Thank-you for your review and all of the positives that you mentioned. We are proud of our property, and value your feedback. Naturally however, it is the negative points raised that really help us to 'up our game', so thank-you for bringing up the issue surrounding the meal-serving at breakfast time. It definitely isn't a recurring issue, and we try... More

Fantastic lodge, and has a very good manager. When I stayed there I felt as if I was family to these people. After going to many other safari lodges I have to say this one beats them all. I woke up one morning with a giraffe standing right next to my room. If given the opportunity I would go again.

We stayed here between 11 and 15 April 2015, and loved every second. The lodge is in the middle of the national park, so warthogs, water buck and zebras can be seen out of your window, sometimes even wandering through the garden. Oscar, the Spanish manager, gave us a very warm welcome: take his advice on how to organise your... More

Fantastic welcoming and care during our one night stay, would have loved to stay a few extra days as this lodge is extraordinary. Secluded from the world outside, it is a place for recovery. Wild animals can be seen all day from a comfortable sofa or at daily (and nightly) safaris. The generator is shut off at 11 pm so... More

When flying into Kidepo you are stunned by the vastness of the grasslands surrounded by weathered mountains. Apoka Lodge sits alone in the middle of this fantastic landscape. My wife and I visited Apoka in October, 2014 for three days during the wet season. The grass was high, the temperature was mid 60s to 70s (f), and we had the... More

Thanks to our wonderful guide,Patrick and the warm hospitality of the manager, Oscar, we enjoyed our 10 night stay here. The game drives were an amazing adventure every day. Patrick has the eyes of an eagle and the desire to make each drive be special. Kidepo is a very beautiful place and Apoka is filled with hospitality and warmth. You... More
