We stayed at the Apoka Lodge from Dec 11-14 2014 and I have to say this is the most amazing place I've ever been. The lodge is set in a remote area right on Kidepo National Park. The views are stunning from EVERYWHERE! The cottages are beautiful, clean and nicely decorated. They overlook the savanna and you can sit in... More

My partner and I spent three exceptional nights at Apoka. There is nothing to compare with watching wildlife stroll past our veranda during the day and listening to lions roaring at night. The staff was wonderful. They looked after us quite well. Mr. Patrick seemed to conjure wildlife out of thin air. We only did game drives - including a... More

I wish I could rate this wonderful place more than 5 stars !! Spent Christmas with friends and family at the lodge . The lodge is wonderful and the Kidepo valley is one of the most beautiful places I have traveled to and would definitely return. The staff at the lodge were very nice and made our stay very memorable.... More

This lodge is built on a little rocky hill and so has some amazing views of the park. The lodge is top end with many amenities including a beautiful pool which has literally been carved out of the rock. They also offer safari drives and helicopter rides around the park and to nearby mountain cliffs. While having coffee here, we... More

We have visited a number of Safari Lodges over the years, and we are so glad we saved this until now - the best of a big bunch. The situation is just astonishing with remarkably open yet safe access to the animals - whilst we were there we saw all manner of deer, water bucks, elephants, lions, giraffes and Cape... More

The location of the lodge is mindblowing - the buffalos litterally walk through your bathroom - and it could be the most amazing place on earth, if the management would be appropriate respectively the treatment of guests would match the incredible high prize. Service staff is nice and friendly, but you have to ask, beg or fight for everything (e.g.... More

Dear opaulus2014, Thank-you for taking the time to review Apoka Safari Lodge. All feedback is essential to us. The brunch and dinner were introduced at the ongoing request of guests who felt that eating before a game activity was too early and eating both breakfast and lunch was too much after a game activity. There should be more flexibility for... More

My wife and I have spent nearly two years on Safari over the past 16 years, and this by far the best lodge we have ever stayed in we have now visited 4 times! The lodge itself has by far the most friendly and helpful staff we have ever come across, the food is superb, Raymond does a remarkable job... More

finally, after travelling for many years in Uganda, we made it up to Kidepo National Park. And we did it the "hard" way by driving from KLA with a stopover in Gulu. Count approx. 10 hours in total but its worth every minute! This is the most beautiful and remote part of Uganda i have ever seen, the nature is... More

We spent almost a month traveling in Tanzania and Uganda, and Kidepo national park and Apoka Safari Lodge are still my most favorite places of our entire stay. I won't go on and on about the incredible rooms, the amazing staff, and delicious food. You can read that on other reviews. We were as some have said the only guests... More

Apoka Lodge is located in Kidepo National Park, one of the most beautiful and remote parts of Uganda..... actually Uganda has many beautiful places, but this north eastern corner of the country, very close to the border with South Sudan, has a wild and isolated beauty about it, which is quite unique. We felt as if we had the park... More
