I wavered between Kidepo and Murchison Falls, but ultimately decided to give Kidepo a try simply because November is the low season and we would not be able to afford this lodge during high season. Loved our cabin and the attentiveness of the staff. Sometimes it was too attentive, and I felt bad for them. The game drives were great... More

haveing been there end of 2013, we decided to visit the place again this year over Christmas and it has been even better!! Saw many lions, herds of elephants, the buffalos are still there but the best thing to do there (in my opinion) is a game walk!! Try it and you will love it! The lodge is still perfect,... More

We loved Apoka Safari Lodge. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom very nice. Loved sitting by the pool and lodge watching the animals at the waterhole. The game drives were great. We must be one of the few not to see Lions but the grass was very high when we were there. Oscar, the manager, greets you before... More

Awesome, amazing and exceptional place to be beautiful. The animals are so beautiful good weather, very quite place to be on a honeymoon. The park side has a variety of animals to look at and the scenery is so beautiful.

With the over population of tourist places and safari vehicles bumper to bumper one could almost feel guilty enjoying the solitude of this wonderful place in northern Uganda, in the Kidepo National Park, on the border with South Sudan. The rooms are large and well appointed with a wonderful veranda to read a book and watch the zebras and water... More

Relay enjoyed my stay at the Apoka Safari Lodge. The rooms are nicly decorated, big Bathroom, with Outdoor Bathtube. A veranda from where you watch Buffalo and many other animals grazing. I have given average, because of the standard of the food we where served at the time we stayed, but I spoke to the management in Kampala and complained... More

We were lucky to have only a few of the rooms at this place full, so we had our own game vehicle, which really made it special. But, because it was the low season, the animals were much harder to spot, and we only saw three lions. The rooms were well-appointed and the showers are great. We especially liked our... More

This was our second visit to Apoka Lodge. The first time was four years ago, we found it a perfect place. That was the reason for us to come back this year, and we were very dissapointed about the development it took. The quality of food and service was very poor. The manager presented the bill on the back of... More

A place that should be visited by all people interested in fauna and flora. The birding is spectacular and game viewing too. It is remote but worth every moment. You need 3 - 4 nights. Apoka Safari Lodge is great, but UWA's camp is more affordable. It is by far the best safari park in Uganda!

Forget the over-the-top decadence that all too many high-end African Resorts suffer from these days. If you want a European hotel room, go to Europe. But if, for less than half the price you want to be in pristine African wilderness that stretches as far as the eye can see from the foot of your oh-so-comfy bed, and wild animals... More
