My girlfriend and I spent 5 weeks in Japan in August 2013 and our stay at the Marine Village on Tokashiku was one of the highlights. The staff is wonderful, the food is good and the location is simply amazing. We swam snorkled and saw sea turtles just a few metres from the beach. I will definitely return at some... More

This hotel at Tokashiku beach is good for relaxing. The beach is just excellent and you have an excellent possbility to see the big turtles swimming there. And if you want to see the turtles closer go out for snorkeling you might just end up seeing the turtle swimming just below you as happened to my girlfriend. The hotel has... More

We spent two nights at the Tokashiku Marine Village in early May. I have mixed feelings about this place because we have visited Tokashiki Island before and stayed on Aharen beach. This time, we wanted to experience Tokashiku beach instead and I have to say that it is very beautiful but isolated. The hotel is located right on the beach,... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic because it's so peaceful, the sunsets are beautiful, and the water so wonderfully clear. We chose this place because of the snorkeling opportunities and the good possibility of seeing turtles, and it delivered on both counts. The hotel is only average, though. They have a friendly pick-up service to and from the hotel,... More

Wonderful, beautiful, quiet place. Everybody at the hotel was extremely friendly and welcoming. We loved the beach which we almost had to us selves (I guess since is was only spring). Our 4 and 9 year old kids loved the quiet water, and the big one even met the turtle though he does not snorkel in very deep water. The... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

My husband and spent 1 night at the Tokashiku Marine Village and had an excellent time. However, it was off season (November), so it was quiet and the weather wasn't very cooperative (rainy and cool). Nevertheless, it was relaxing and the staff are fantastic - very helpful and friendly. The location is ideal - a beautiful and quiet beach with... More

my husband, 2 daughters (ages 4 and 2) spent a weekend at tokashiku. it is clean, peaceful and simple with a very friendly and helpful staff. but the best part of this place is the location. it is absolutely beautiful. diving, snorkeling, swimming, beach combing for shells and sea glass, napping on the beach, watching the sunset...all perfect. loved this... Stayed here in March, fantastic friendly staff and a great location right on the beach. The food was high quality with lots of variety. It's best to hire a car to visit the rest of the island easily and this can be arranged with the help of the hotel staff.

Visiting Tokashiku Marine Village was one of the high points of our trip to Japan. Most of that can be credited to the beautiful location: the hotel faces the beach, which is only a few steps from the hotel, and you can see the sun set and rise on the horizon. On the beach you only have to take two... More

It only takes one hour to reach Tokashiki Island and this hotel is located in a little secluded area on the island, facing the ocean. We visited it in December and found the place the least crowded. We enjoyed drinking wine on the beach and even swimming with a turtle. Dinner was unexpectedly good. This is an ideal hotel for... More
