This is easily the best Ryokan I've ever stayed at. We only stayed one night and our only regret is that we did not stay longer. The Ryokan was beautiful and our room had a relaxing outdoor bath and all the comfort and amenities we needed but this place was amazing because this Ryokan offers so much more than that.... More

Elegant and thoughtful in details. I truly appreciated my experience and wished I'd stayed longer. Kumi Sato-san, a very elegant lady, speaks very good English and is very thoughtful and helpful. This is very useful if you want to find out anything about Japanese culture. The ryokan provides transfer to the show at 8pm which we decided not to go... More

This is a lovely, modern ryokan with beds. The aesthetics are gorgeous and the comfort is outstanding. All personnel were kind and helpful, My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer. Takachiho is an interesting and beautiful town with beautiful scenery, good walks and hikes, and historic places. Even though it is hard to get to, we highly recommend... More

Stayed two nights, to allow for the numerous activity on offer in this provincial mountain resort town called Takachiho. I personally think Kyushu is under-rated due to distance and time it takes to get there but highly recommended and would like to help the locals out!
