Fairly speaking, this site deserves a four to five star rating. - Staff service dedicated and helpful - take us on a 10 min drive to another Onsen and drove us back. - Lovely onsen but not spectacular view like Yamamizuki or Hozantei. - Great sleeping quality, as its mattress is thick and provides adequate softness The one star that... come to this hall the other day -- thank you very much. There is nothing with this showy circumference and it is a simple and quiet hot-spring hotel. This hall is also a natureful of a hotel. Although it was stay of family company, I have high evaluation carried out and appreciate very much this time. It tries to become... More

We found this ryokan for our family holiday with my brother-in-low's family from Hong Kong, who wanted to try Japanese onsen but weren't keen on communal bathing. We stayed in a semi-detached Japanese-style twin chalets. Each chalet (with two tatami rooms plus kitchenette) had two private onsen baths, one indoor and another outdoor. The rooms were clean and pleasant, and... More

please stay at this hall the other day -- thank you very much. Thank you for having you pleasing, although I was allowed to prepare the room with a bath this time. Although it is about payment, the plan reserved this time is a plan of only cash. Therefore, I informed "A credit card cannot be used." VISA or MastarCard... More

We stayed two nights at Yamashinobu Ryokan. It was the last leg of our hotspring ryokan tour and my personal favorite. This ryokan is not located in Kurokawa itself but I had had a very hard time getting available rooms in Kurokawa itself even though I booked more than a month before...I guess it was peak season. We drove to... More

This Spa is a bit away from the centre of Kurokawa, but Spa staff will arrange the transportation from the centre of the town. They have 2 Onsen for each male/female and 3 different 'private' onsen, and no need to book these private baths in advance. If the sign says 'it is free', you can use them. Dinner and Breakfast... Fell in love with this Japanese Ryokan at the beginning. It was a hot summer in my home town, yet I felt the breeze all around me there. The food was magnificent but the professional staffs & peaceful environment overrode its taste. I was absolutely relaxed upon my stay there. Sounds of birds & insects together with the smell of... please stay at "yamashinobu" the other day -- thank you very much. It is most important as very much satisfied with this hall. I quantity-evaluate and appreciate. It is a natural atmosphereful of a hotel here. Chirping of a bird can also often be heard. Moreover, I am waiting by all means. I am indebted. More

I was looking to stay in the hotspring resort of Kurokawa during the busy Christmas to New Year week. As most of the ryokans there are small with only about 10-20 rooms each, some even less, trying to find a ryokan with a vacancy (and with an attached toilet - that was non-negotiable!) was a real headache. I ended up... More

please stay at this hall the other day -- thank you very much. You pass slowly and I appreciate. Inside a hall, there are seven hot springs. Moreover, I have also prepared play institutions, such as a bookroom, an astronomical observatory, and a sunken hearth. Astronomical observation was not completed on the day for bad weather. We are also regretful.... More

I have been to a number of hotspring accommodations in Japan and Taiwan and I would definitely rate Yamashinobu (静寂な森の宿 山しのぶ) as one of the best and I definitely would like to stay in Yamashinobu again. You can easily find Yamashinobu on the GPS system by just entering their phone number, so we didn't have any problem finding, we arrive at... More
