Unbelievable to live in such a beautiful and thoughtful building filled with so much art. In each room, spa room, space, you will find surprising pieces of of art delighting you or pulling you in. The restaurants were fantastic too, and the spa top notch. Will be back again!

We stay in Benesse House - museum twin room for one night. Since the building is a museum and a hotel as well, we have got the free entry ticket for the museum at the time when we check-in. Since the hotel was built in 2006, the room, furniture and bathroom were a little old. However the building itself was... More

We stayed two nights at Benesse House and could have easily stayed a third. It was exactly what we needed after being in Kyoto where it was very crowded. The island is very peaceful and beautiful. Even my husband who is not an art lover enjoyed the stay. The hotel had very few rooms left when I made my reservation... More

We had an incredible stay at Benesse. It really is one of the most stunning spaces, both architecturally and in terms of what it holds inside it in terms of art! We spent 2 nights in the Oval Suite right before Christmas and loved every moment, from the stunning room (Oval 403), the monorail, the food at both restaurants, the... More

Benesse House art site is an architectural marvel and houses interesting modern art, and some invaluable set of "Water Lilies" by Claude Monet. The hotel is very comfortable and has all the modern bells and whistles. We were picked up from Miyanoura port by the hotel's courtesy bus. The bus driver ticked us off from his list of arriving guests... More

While not necessarily up to the highest standards of many luxury hotels, it is quite sufficient for a stay while on the island of Naoshima. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although enveloped by the concrete architecture of Tadao Ando, which seems like it is routed in a moment in time. It is a concrete monolith and maze, as are... The Benesse House Hotel is a contemporary art hotel beautiful integrated into the landscape of Naoshima Island. It is the first time we were so enthralled with the view from our room, that we took our dinner on our decking facing the Inland Sea. Beautiful sculptures and artwork are sprinkled throughout the hotel and grounds. We stayed in the Park,... More
