We stayed in a beachside yurt for one night in February. Despite being freezing cold outside, the yurt was very cosy inside with the gas heater on. It was reasonably clean inside, a bit dusty, but no big deal, and very spacious. Showers, towels, soap, etc. cost extra. We couldn't quite figure out the wi-fi but it seemed to limited... More

Don't be fooled by the location, the boat traffic in front of the lodge is huge, fisherman do very loud maneuvers at night, between midnight and two in the morning to be exact, and I have the reputation of being a deep sleeper ! Seemed like a bulldozer was excavating near the tent. The Yurts are clean but not in... More

Dear Paul, Thank you very much for your comment. Although you can see very nice ocean view, we feel so sorry that you didn't feel comfortable and not satisfied with our room. However, please forgive our environment here. Thank you for your kind understandings. Kindly regards, Tsustuji-so lodge More

The accommodations here vary quite a bit, including traditional rooming, yurts, and camper vans. We stayed on bunk beds in a camper van, which was tiny and really lovely. The view out the front window provided a view down to the beach and across the water. Showers and towels are extra cost. The hotel also provided a map to a... More

If I could give 3.5 I would but I will give these guys the benefit of the doubt and bumping it up to 4 here. The location cannot be beaten - right on the beach and an amazing place to wake up in the morning. The yurts are amazing - warm, comfortable and spacious. You have to pay for showers... More

Thank you very much for your reviews. We are very happy to hear that you liked the yurt. For about the breakfast, we apologize that our breakfast staff didn't communicate friendly, and made you feel unconfortable. We will try to educate more to them. Thank you again for your comments. My husband and I stayed here when we came to visit the Chichu Museum. We wanted to stay in the Yurts but they were all booked so we stayed in a trailer. The trailer was quite small, we barely had room to both be inside at once, which wasn't terrible because we spent most of our time out and about.... More

The rooms are not that cheap really so I was a little taken aback that we had to pay for showers and hire towels. You have to let them know in advance, and pay extra, if you want breakfast but beware- the western breakfast is terrible. The Japanese breakfast is pretty good. We didn't order dinner so can't comment on... More

Directly on the beach, you can even see the Yayoi Kusuma's Pumpkin from there. The bus will drive you directly to Chichu Museum. You must book in advance for dîners, but there are a few small restaurant not so far - they will dierct you. Fine beds, comfortable yurt. I was alone in mine (8 beds !)

We stayed in a yurt at Tsutsujiso. It was huge! And very beautiful. The beds were comfortable and it was bigger than most hotel rooms we had stayed in! We didn't order dinner or breakfast...but mostly because we weren't able to figure out how! This would be my one recommendation, make it easier for foreigners to book these items on... More

Naoshima Island is definitely worth a 2 nights stay if you want a bit of leisurely time to wander around museums and installations. And the idea of staying in a Mongolian yurt is just too good to miss out!

i stayed there for 1 night...got fabulous service from the supervisor. our ferry schedule was in the early morning, around 6 AM, and no bus has started operating that early, so we were planning to go to the port by foot (people said about 40-50 minutes). when we explained our plan to the supervisor (a very nice Japanese uncle), he...
