I enjoyed the first onsen experience here. Before staying here I stay in Kinshu Minabe Royal Hotel but did not get to enjoy the onsen. Breakfast is quite good, and I enjoyed the Japanese style dinner too. The room are good but small bathroom with Shiseido brand toiletries. And there is only local television show.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here in Kushimoto! The staff was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions and the breakfast buffet was very good with many choices for both western and Japanese food. The room was spacious and location is on top of a hill so we had a great view of Hashigui-iwa and sea from our... More

Beautiful view. Not very international. Hotel stuff very friendly. But they don't speak English. Very hard to communicate. No laundry service. Needs a renovation. The city is very humid.Because of the environment the building has a moldy smells. I highly recommend mold friendly furnishing.

This is a prominent hilltop hotel you can clearly see from the train station. Its best to take the somewhat infrequent free shuttle but it is walkable from the train. The hotel staff is very polite and efficient and at least one person around the desk will speak English. There is a small shop that sells limited food in the... More

After our first 2 hotel stay, was not expecting too much but turn out to be a surprise. Nice ambience and nice room. Good scenic view towards 桥杭岩. Onsen, free wifi plus free parking all adds upto good value for our stay. However, a little disturbing was the moist carpet feel in the room otherwise, the stay will be perfect.

Nice hotel situated atop a hill. Service was excellent and the staff was polite. Stayed on the 9th floor. Room was big and could sleep 3 if an extra bed was added. Clean and made up daily. Only gripe was the thermostat control. Gets rather warm at night and there is no way to cool down the room. Thankfully weather... More

The Royal Hotel is the tallest building in Kushimoto atop a hill, providing a fantastic view of the famed Hashigui Rocks below. We had a western room, but Japanese rooms are available too. The heating control ran on=hot or off=reasonable, so I turned off the heater. This introduced a problem: since we were on the ninth floor throughout the night... More

Excellent location for exploring the Kii Peninsular. Free shuttle bus to station, solid WiFi in rooms, friendly helpful staff despite minimal English, large rooms well maintained and great views were all positives. Unfortunately many of the services were closed for the season despite it only being early November; pool was closed. Breakfast was a vast buffet of Japanese fare; very... More
