We arrived here at the end of a 6 day Kumano Kodo hike to be met by Japan's version of Basil Fawlty stalking the premises advising guests what they could and could not do. We were shooed out of the dining room while sharing a beer which "Basil" had told us to buy from the vending machine using notes, not... More

Very neat and clean with small functional bath house and traditional japanese rooms. Western toilets only on one floor but this is no drama. Our very hard-working and attentive host is a superb chef and the dinner served in 5... More
